Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday.
I hope you are all having a great weekend so far.
The fabulous LeAnne has a great color challenge for you all this week. I must admit, I really enjoyed playing with these colors.
You really need to pop along to the Paper Players this week and check out the fabulous assortment of cards from the design team. We all took this challenge in a totally different direction and I know that you talented crew of blog readers will also do amazing things with it. So, we do hope you will pop along and join us.
I decided that there was a distinct masculine feel about the color scheme and felt a baby card was in order. Of course, I had to pull out my Woodware set. For those of you who are SU only, Baby Bundle would work just as well!
Here's my card
Aren't those colors great together? I think they are fabulous. Of course, Pool Party is very quickly becoming my favorite color and this challenge made me step outside of my box and use…. shudder…. Certainly Celery! I don't know why I don't use this green? Maybe it's because it is such a yellow green? It's very pretty, but just not my go to green.
You can see that I had great fun coloring this image and managed to incorporate all three colors into the focal image. I stamped "congratulations" all along the top of the scalloped area in Versamark, but the camera does wash that out and make it hard to see.
As I didn't want to overpower the focal image, I opted for a Pool Party polka dot brad instead of ribbon at the top of the tag. I also felt that this carriage needed some souped up wheels 🙂
Versamark came in handy again when I stamped the tiny accoutrement that always accompanies babies all over the tag!
So, don't forget to pop along to the Paper Players and join us this week.
On a personal note:
Boxes are getting packed, but not fast enough! I did spend time making cards on Saturday but didn't quite keep up with the 3 boxes for every card made. So I had to catch up on Saturday night and will be doing lots more packing and sorting today.
On a personal note:
I thought I would share a couple more photographs of the house for you… Pammie.. these are for you!
The color in the dining room isn't quite right, but we think that once they have gotten two more coats on using a brush this coming week, that we should be pretty close. The custom made hutch is in place but still has to be painted. We went and choose a top for it and decided on Carrara marble. Hey, if it was good enough for Leonardo, it has to be good enough for our hutch, right :-) Actually it is gorgeous as it has a lovely blue-gray veining and we think it will be perfect.
The great room built-ins are also in place. We can't believe that they put all of the cupboards in and the doors up in one day!
I thought I would throw in a picture of Lou's shower, too. It's not finished yet, it still needs the showerheads, glass doors, etc. but I think he's going to be quite happy in there and we do still love the tiles! The place is really dusty, so you don't get the true effect. The doors are in and are waiting to be stained… my bath hasn't made an appearance as yet and I can't wait to see it.
Of course, I couldn't post pictures of the house without a view of the outside. Y'all know that I am obsessed with the outside!
How about a shot of the resident Robin?
Well, I think that's enough photos of the house for a while! Rach and Adelle, I found a new vegetarian website for you both. I can't wait to try some of these recipes…… HERBIVORACIOUS.com.
As always, thank you for visiting my little area of the stamping blogosphere. Your visits and your comments do mean a great deal to me.
Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

Hiya Jaydee! I’m back to the “real” world. Whew. What a trip. I’m beyond tired, but oh so happy to be home.
What a fun color challenge! I can’t wait to pop over and see the other DT cards because yours is ADORABLE! :o) I do so love Pool Party and will be devastated when it’s gone. :oS
The house is coming together so beautifully. I can’t believe it’s almost moving time. Unbelievable! I can’t wait to see it finished. The hutch sounds gorgeous and I’m insanely jealous of those showers you guys have going on. :o)
I’m off to check out that site–thanks! We’ve cut out so much meat in our diets it’s amazing. Any new recipes are ALWAYS welcome.

P.S. Hi Lou! :o)
Love this card and am going to try it with the Packed for Baby set. Also, love you house. The shower tile is incredible. You are going to love everything about it as you have both put so much thought into everything. Your hard work will be so worth it in the end.
Hi Jaydee! That is a sweet baby card. Love it! Your house pictures are beautiful. I really can’t wait to see it all finished. The built ins will be so nice…all that storage, wow! And of course, Lou’s shower with that gorgeous tile is outstanding. I like the little strip of tile towards the top. I’m thinking of you with all the packing yet. It will be worth it though. Are your kitties all back to normal and feeling well? I bet they are wondering what this packing is all about. : )
This is total cuteness! I love your stamped background on the tag and awesome coloring on your image!
Oooohh baby, is right! This is one adorable card! Love those button wheels and that sweet stamp set. Looks like you are making a lot of progress on the house, as well. I’m a little jealous of that tile in Lou’s shower. Wowza! Hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend, friend! Hugs! 🙂
Cute, cute! When I first saw these colors I thought baby boy, too. For some reason I just couldn’t make it work, but you did a great job! i am loving the button wheels…what a creative touch!
Perfect colours for a sweet baby card! Amazing colouring of the baby and carriage and the added button wheels are the perfect touch.
Your house looks amazing, I love to see the progress you are making. It must be fun (and exhausting) to really get to design your home the way you want it:)
