Be Good – for Merry Monday

Hi Everyone.  Happy Saturday.

It's rare that I get to play along with the fabulous Lesley at Merry Mondays.  That's because the challenge starts on Mondays and finishes late in the evening on Saturday.  As I generally don't get to play until late Saturday or Sunday, unfortunately I miss it most weeks.  However, if you don't check out the challenge site regularly, you really should.  It's a fun way to get started on your Christmas card collection for 2012, and there's always a great sketch to follow.

Here's the sketch for this week

Sketch 14
I saw the circular image and immediately thought of a Waltzingmouse set that I bought last year.  I love the Father Christmas shaped like the moon.   I also had fun with some new "stuff" that I bought.  It's called Le Pouf.  It's almost like White Out (anyone remember that?)  In fact, does anyone remember which famous band member's mother created it?   Anyway, where was I?  Oh yes.  Le Pouf.  You put it on the image, leave it to dry, then lightly heat it up with your heat gun and it, well, does exactly what it says it is going to do…. it puffs up!

Here's a close up

Lepouf

Isn't that cool?  I can't wait to use this on Christmas cards and use this Le Pouf as the snow!

Here's the card I made for Merry Monday

Isn't that Father Christmas fabulous?   I embossed him and then colored him using Copic markers.  I added just a touch of grey to the fur on his hat before adding the Le Pouf.  I wanted just a slight differentiation in color between the fur and his beard.

I just love this Papertrey Ink sentiment.  I really think it is so true!  So, I hope you will pop along to Lesley's blog and check out the next Merry Monday challenge beginning on, well, Monday!

It seems really strange putting up a Christmas card when many of us are celebrating either Easter or Passover!

So, for my Christan readers Happy Easter and for my Jewish readers Happy Passover!

As always, thank you for spending a little time my little area of the stamping blogosphere.  Your visits and your comments are always greatly appreciated.

Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee

Don’t have a clue about which band member’s mom invented it though. The pictures of your house that you have been showing us are gorgeous!! Good for you!!!! Take care and Happy Easter.
