Hi Everyone. Happy Wednesday night.
Earlier this week I shared this card that I made for Freshly Made Sketches
Well, it stuck to the sketch challenge and I love the neutral feel, however I decided to also create a feminine version and just change up the sketch a little.
I forced myself to use one of the colors I use the least…. Poppy Parade. Well, actually there are colors I use less often – like Certainly Celery… anyone remember me ever using that color? :-) Overall, Poppy is a fabulous color – but tends to be a little too strong for me, but I really wanted to force myself!
Here's my redo of the original card.
I used all the same elements – the only thing that changed was the DSP, cardstock and ink colors. This Domestic Goddess DSP is another one of my alltime favorite SU DSPs.
I like the feminine colors and the two toned frame around the sentiment. Pool Party is certainly one of my favorite spring colors 🙂
On a personal note:
the days are ticking by till our move and the stuff remains unpacked! I have a to do list as long as my arm, but am so exhausted at the end of the work day these days, that I haven't had the energy to pack.
The weather is gorgeous….simply gorgeous….. 72 degrees today. Considering this time last year we still had snow on the ground and were lucky to reach 50… this is amazing. It feels like a mid-May day rather than a mid-March day!
As always, thank you for stopping by my little area of the stamping blogosphere. Your visits really do mean a great deal to me. I'll see you next on Friday!
Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight. Pammie… that includes you.
Hugs
Jaydee

Oooooh. I LOVE the Poppy Parade paired with Pool Party. And, I do so enjoy the Domestic Goddess DSP. You’re right, the Poppy Parade definitely can take over a card it’s so intense.
I love the card and the sentiment. And no, you’re right, I can’t remember you EVER using Certainly Celery. ;o)
I hope you are able to get out and thoroughly enjoy the gorgeous weather you are having! Good luck with the packing.
Hugs!
P.S. Hiya Lou!
Both are breath taking beautiful!

I would consider a packing service. They are wonderful and no stress to you. Love your daily blog!!
Hi Jaydee! I love both your cards here! It’s fun to see it in a different color scheme. Love that pattern of Domestic Goddess dsp you used. I remember your snowman card using that too. I think as busy with work that you tend to be, a packing service might be a good choice for you. It would sure take the stress off! We are having 70’s degree weather as well in Ohio and it is strange but wonderful. My daffodils started blooming yesterday and my hyacinths are blooming too!
Love it and love the other card too … what else would we ever expect out of you. If only I had half that talent I would be set everyday making cards. 🙂
I hear you about moving …. I am not going to enjoy that packing neither, but I will have it a little easier. Packing and moving one room at a time.
Love the house so far and I know you are really going to enjoy it.
Weather sounds great and we are getting all that sunshine in Ohio too.
I loved the first card and saved a copy for inspiration someday. But Oh, I love, love this one too. I don’t have the DSP so I’m trying to see if I have a stamp I can use to imitate the little white flowers with embossing powder. Thanks for your inspiration everyday. If I have trouble sleeping i always know that I can look at my email for the latest post from you that I get a little after midnight every night!
A packing service! What a great idea! Listen to your sisters, Jaydee! Get a packing service! Then your blog won’t have to go quiet!! :). So glad we have it all figured out now!!:). Whew!! I was worried about you not blogging. 🙂
I too love both of your cards. I found them inspiring.
Take good care.
