Hi Everyone.
Hope you are having a wonderful week. I used one of my new fall to layouts to create a fall inspired card. Of course, I had to use my Medallion background stamp and use my Butterfly Bigz Die to create the autumn butterfly.
Then, it truly wouldn't be a jaydee card without a little bling! I found some old pearls that were the perfect color and I used those to finish off the card. So, what do you think of the More Mustard, Cajun Craze and Very Vanilla color scheme?
The sentiment is perfect for those of my readers who have been hit by storms across the country these last few days. I hope you are all OK and have power restored.
On a personal note:
Lou and I spent the last few days out of town doing things for the new house. I really would never have thought it could take 4 hours to choose light fittings for a house. But it did! Never before had I concentrated so hard on what a particular light fitting would look like in a particular area. I mean, I've done it for other people….. but it is so different when you are doing it for yourself! You will not be surprised to hear that I managed to squeeze a little bit of bling into a couple of them. Lou was very reluctant, but then changed his mind and agreed. I'm not talking mega chandeliers here, but just a little bit of bling! 🙂
We then went past the lot to see if anything had happened. Oh boy! Had things happened. The council had been and plotted the land and covered it with black plastic to show the buildable area. Most importantly, there was a big SOLD sign outside. Lou couldn't wait to get out of the car to go hug it. That's when it really felt REAL. Here's a pick.
Think he looks happy? We both got warm and fuzzy feelings. 🙂
Now, I have to go look for new light fittings for outside the garage, cos we just heard that the ones we chose are not available in the color we wanted. Did I really need another excuse to go look at goodies for the house 🙂

I love your christmas parcels…clean and simple -yes. THe coloring of the cajin looks nice together too.

Jaydee, the card is wonderful–I just love earth tones. I swear, I’m adding so many things to my list of things to purchase because of you. Next up is the sunflower stamp. :o)
I bet it is beyond FUN to select that *perfect* item for your home, and isn’t it wonderful you have this time off so you can take the time to do it right. :o)

Love the More Mustard and Cajun Craze together-the perfect autumn pair, and I love the CAS with Bling look, this card is the latest on my “case from Jaydee” list. Believe me it’s a loooooong list!
The pic of Lou made me smile, not just because of his enthusiasm and grin; because what I can see of the lot is PERFECT. I can just imagine what little haven you will create for the wildlife. Thanks for sharing the excitement of your new home.
