OWH card drive update

Hi Everyone.  Very quick post for you tonight.  I wanted to share with you the final totals for our Summer Operation Write Home card drive.

Once again, a huge thank you to all of you who participated by either making cards, or donating funds for me to send to OWH.

I cannot thank you enough.  What I can do though, is tell you that you have made

ONE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED

servicemen/women and their family members very happy.  That's a huge number.  I spent some time this weekend making up cards to take it up to a round number.  So, I hope you will all forgive me that I don't have a card to show you…. I really have only made 1 card in two weeks for my blog.  The rest of my spare time has been spent on the cards, making them, getting them ready, categorizing them, stamping the OWH logo on the back and putting them into their glassine covers to protect all our handywork.

It's an awesome thing you all did….. now turn around and pat yourselves on the back – and a big, very big, virtual hug from me.

Now… I am off to go put the cards into plastic bags and then put them into a box to post them!

I hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday and, as always, thank you so much for visiting my little corner of the stamping blogosphere.  You know I greatly appreciate your support.

Warm hugs and prayers for those who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee

Jaydee, thank you so much for organizing, sorting, categorizing, and readying these cards for the troops. This on top of working insane hours. You, my friend, are a dynamo. :o)
I hope you have a chance to get in your stamping space soon.
    Hugs!
P.S. Hi Lou! I hope you are well. :o)
P.P.S. I actually posted some photos of Beanie goodness on the blog. Whoopie!

  2. Wow, that is a huge number and so grateful of all of you! Jaydee you are just amazing how you find all the time to do this and keep up with it all, plus work the hours that you work.

  3. Truely amazing! I agree with all the other ladies and their comments. I will do my best to better my number for your next OWH card drive as well. Thank you so much for all your hard work Jaydee! You are a true blessing.

  4. Hi Jaydee!
I’ve been missing in action from your blog lately. DH and I celebrated our 35th anniversary on Monday the 19th, and we took last week to vacation in beautiful Door County, Wisconsin – have you been there? The highlight was our Segway tour in the area of the lighthouses on the Lake Michigan side. It was our second time on a “Segway the Door” tour, and we just LOVED it!
Thanks for all you did to make the OWH drive such a huge success – that’s a HUGE number of cards – WOW!!! I was very happy to participate and look forward to doing so again.
    Hugs,
    Soozie
