Hi Everyone. Happy Wednesday night.
I need a favor from all of you, especially the SU demos who visit my blog.
I am getting ready for swaps and am stressing !!!!! I have some already done, which I will share with you next week, but wanted to do something clean and simple and out of the ordinary.
So… my question to all of you, especially the demos, would you be put off by a swap that uses our Decor Stencils as the major element?
You know I love using the stencils, as they provide such fabulous clean, graphic, bold focal images. The Elegant Trio ones are no exception. Here's the card I made. I would, of course, change out the sentiment to an SU sentiment. Please could you leave me a comment, or click the email me button under my photo and let me know?
As many of you will be aware, a lot of effort goes into the CAS cards, especially when using stencils, as no slip up is hidden – at all! I'm really tempted to do a few for people who want to do swap CAS cards, but would really appreciate YOUR input.
Here's the card
For swaps, I would change out the sentiment and also place only 1 basic rhinestone – right in the middle.
What is it with me a purple at the moment????? I don't know – it must be these pills I'm on!
Anyway, I would really value your input if you are willing to share it!
My next post will be on Friday. I will have a card made with NEW goodies to share with you. I am so excited about some of the new goodies I received from the man in brown today!
Rach…. just wanted to let you know that I am thinking about you, my friend!
Hugs and prayers to those of you who need a little lift.
As always, thanks for stopping by….
hugs
jaydee

The stencils are on my wish list for my next order. 🙂
I received quite a few swaps at Regionals last year that had a lot of stuff on them, but weren’t visually appealing at all. This card I would LOVE, but I am a big fan of CAS. So I vote YES, I’d totally swap for this!
I LOVE a good CAS card, and as you said, they are quite difficult to do and do well. I think this one is perfect and would make an excellent swap. I like that you would be highlighting a product that isn’t used that often. Sure, stenciling is painstaking, but isn’t the point of swaps to show different techniques and such? This is definitely not one you see often and what a great way to showcase it. I think it’s a marvelous idea and no, I wouldn’t be put off one bit.
You ARE on a purple kick, aren’t you? ;oP I do like it, though.
Thank you, friend. It’s going to be rough going for the next couple of weeks.
Hugs and prayers to all in need. Also, before I forget, Hi Lou!
Hugs!
Jaydee, I had BETTER be getting this as a swap from you at convention!!!! LOL! I was just working on mine and believe me, after seeing this, I should just throw mine in the trash! Wowza! Definitely a keeper!
And mine are VERY CAS….very, very, very CAS.
I would absolutely love a stencil swap, since it’s a technique I’ve never used, and your one in particular! Beautiful!
Very nice card and great example of CAS. Love the purple and would love to receive one as a swap.
I would LOVE a stencil swap! Go for it!
Beautiful card. I say go for it, too. It’s part of your product and this would be an inspiration.
Very nice CAS card Jaydee! I love it! I would say go for it! It’s a different technique! I like to see new techniques!
Rach- I don’t know what is going on with you personally but I will keep you in my thoughts & prayers. I haven’t been able to visit here as much as usual since my Dad has been sick. But I do think of you and all of the others all of the time!
Prayers to all who are in need!
Jaydee,
I’m not a SU! deomonstrator, however, I am a huge fan! This is such a striking card and so well done. In fact, I never considered ordering the stencils for card making, only for decorative use. I think this highlights their versitility so nicely. I would love to see this as a swap.
Prayers to those who need them right now from me too.
Yes, you should definitely swap this card. It is stunning in its beauty and simplicity. You may have to educate some demonstrators while you are swapping. I think a lot of us are not as familiar with the images that the stencils feature. Once they know, I’m sure people will be thrilled to have a sample of a lesser known SU product and it really shows the versatility of the stencils. Have a great time if I don’t talk to you before then.
This is a wonderful card and I cannot imagine anyone being disappointed receiving it!
Go for it! Your work is outstanding and who wouldn’t want to swap with you?
I love this!
I think this is lovely – I would be delighted to swap for it (if only I was heading to SLC …) I think it is great to have another ‘way to use’ our products, especially a gorgeous way!
It is elegant and classic – I love it!
It is unique and classy. You won’t find many of folks doing stencil and for that, I would do it. That’s the purpose of swapping; it’s to receive something unique.
