Valentine – feminine and girly

Hi Everyone.

Quick post for you tonight.

I really hardly ever make feminine, girly, cards.  But sometimes, you just need a pink and girly card for those precious little princesses in your life.  Again, this is one that will be going off to the troops.

I used Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz and Very Vanilla.  Such a soft, gentle, color combo.

   Ovaldefined (1)

Card recipe – all ingredients Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted

  • card stock:  Very Vanilla, Blushing Bride
  • Stamps:  Valentine Defined
  • Inks:  Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride – Stampin' Write Markers, Regal Rose Classic Ink for the sentiment
  • Accessories:  Blushing Bride ribbon, In Color Glimmer Brad
  • DSP: In Color Patterns Pack
  • Tools:  Oval Punch.  Nestabilities Ovals Dies (non-SU)

On a personal note:

Loved hear what you are all doing for Valentine's!  Marge – 55 years.  that's pretty darn cool.  congratulations!  Linda, I love your idea of your girl bookclub and "selling" your book this month.  What book was it?  Beverly, Outback with friends!  What a cool way to spend Saturday evening.  Rach… yep.. dates at Barnes and Noble after dinner – that's a great night!  Especially precious when you get so little time with B.

Prayers tonight for Rose, Adelle, Jan A, Erin, Germaine and those still being affected by the floods and fires in Oz.

Hugs

Jaydee

  1. What a sweet card, Jaydee. I know a little girl who would love that. I’m going to have to CASE this and send it to her. :o) Thank you!
It’s been a long day and even longer evening here, and Miss Bean is letting her displeasure be known…I suppose I shall be off.
Prayers as always, and hugs to all!

  2. That is a very girly and cute card, indeed. I am not crazy about the in-color ribbon because of its texture. I find it “rough” compare to the rest of other ribbons. But once again, you made it look “softer” in this card. I really like it. So you keep mentioning cards going to the troops. Is there a carddrive you’re having??? or some sort. Let me help…

  3. So very precious … love it! Well, going to get my fair share of eating out this weekend (SIL-B-day tomorrow so Red Lobster tonight) then Outback tomorrow evening…whew and I really don’t care to eat out. Thanks for sharing the *So Pretty* card Jaydee…have a great weekend!

  4. I’m ‘selling’ “An Inconvenient Elephant” by Judy Reene Singer, given to me by my daughter and son-in-law for Christmas. I spent two years in Thailand and fell in love with elephants there. There were two that sometimes camped with their mahouts (caretakers) in the field across from my apartment. Since there was no more teak logging work for the elephants, their mahouts would often bring them into the cities and take them around to outdoor restaurants. They would sell you sugar cane to feed to the animals.

  5. Such a sweet feminine card! Maybe I will create one for Muffy…she loves getting mail! Really! Whenever the mailman arrives she can’t wait to sniff all the mail. If there is a piece of junk mail, I will give it to her, and she treasures it. She carries it around and is so proud of it. What I don’t understand is why she will still a card that I have made off the table and “distress” it! Maybe she is a card critic???

  6. Jinkies…I meant to say “steal” a card, not “still” one. And before people think I am totally crazy, we have always given our pets cards for Christmas and their birthdays. Plus, they always give cards to us, too. Of course, Mom or Dad have to make or buy them, but they give them just the same.

  7. After reading some of my other emails, this card was so soothing to my nerves. It is smooth and cool.
