Hi Everyone. Happy Wednesday night.
As I have asked you to CASE a card for me for a cause – see this post – I thought it was a good idea for me to CASE some of you. I started with CASEing the fabulous Christmas cards that Germaine made for our last OWH card drive.
Card recipe:
- Card stock: Shimmery White, Cherry Cobbler
- Stamps: WIsh for Peace
- Inks: Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke – Stampin' Write Markers
- Accessories: Basic Pearls, colored to match Cherry Cobbler
- Tools: Big Shot, Texturz Plate, Stampin' Dimensionals
I love this color combination together. I also love my Stampin' Write markers and that they allow me to color these intricate images!
Now, I promised you some snow photos. When I took the first set of photos, it had already been snowing since Friday night. So, we were already half way through the snow day. There was almost no snow on any of these surfaces before the snowstorm last weekend.
Outside our basement window we have a Buddah head
underneath the bird feeder. On the left is what he looked like on Saturday morning. The one on the right shows you how the Buddah looked on Saturday afternoon.
Now lets take a look the right is what he looked like on on Sunday morning. Yep…. same window… same position…. errrr…. you can still see the bird feeder…. but the Buddah has completely disappeared and half our basement window is covered in snow.
Let's take a look at what was happening on the deck.
On Saturday morning this is what our deck looked like. A note on the parcels. Lou had put the tree up along with the Christmas parcels the previous weekend. He had cleared the entire deck in order to get the goodies onto the deck without being on the snow. Picture 1 shows what the tree looked like on Saturday morning. It had been snowing since Friday and you can see that there was a small portion of the presents covered.
Now… let's take a look at what this same picture looked like by later Saturday afternoon.
You can see that the Christmas parcels were now almost covered. Let's take a look at the same pic on Sunday morning
I took the pic above from a slightly higher angle so that you could still see the tips of the parcels. You can see how deep the snow is by looking at the seat bench. You can clearly see the base of the seat benches on the other pictures – but on the last one…. all you can see is the top corner. These seats are 26". So, that gives you some idea.
My favorite shot…. is this one….
You can see the freezing rain on the ornaments, covered with the snow and sparkling in the sunshine!
I hope you enjoyed the pics. I hope they make those of you who live in the parts of the country that don't have the gorgeous, white, fluffy stuff, feel a little more festive!
Prayers as always for Adelle, Rose, Germaine, Pri, Arthur, Lesley and Rach.
Have a fabulous Thursday everyone
Hugs
Jaydee

I have always loved this set. Beautiful card! Love your snow pictures. So glad it is you and not me. I have a real dislike of being cold!
Oh Jaydee, you made my day – I think your card is far better than mine!! Thank you for thinking of me, I am still struggling with pain, and what not, but life is good and I do appreciate all the love and thoughts sent my way! Hope you receive my mail sent via Royal Mail?? Hugs always! G
Beautiful card Jaydee! Way to go Germaine!
Love the pictures! The buddha cracked me up!
Cherry Cobbler and Always Artichoke are such a beautiful pairing. The card is elegance itself, a real tribute to the beauty Germaine created. :o)
Oh, and your snow, your glorious glorious snow!!! I truly live in the wrong part of the States since we get so little of the white and fluffy here. I love the ornament photo the best as well, although, I confess, I do like the one of the Christmas tree lit up at night in the snow. That is one of my favorite looks–a snow covered lit evergreen. They make my heart happy. :o)
Hugs and prayers to all. :o)
Fabulous clean and simple card! Thanks for sharing the pictures. It really puts snow amounts into perspective!
Oh my goodness. It has just started snowing in VA but I don’t think we will get that much! The photo of the ornaments is outstanding. Thanks for sharing.
What a beautiful card and awesome pictures! I hope we get snow like that once my California daughter and her husband arrive! Then once they are here safely, the snowstorms are fine!
First of all, I have to tell ya – when I saw the “snow” picture of the Buddah I thought it was a REAL PERSON!!!! I’m still laughing!!!!
Gorgeous snow! So pretty and peaceful looking (of course I’m not having to shovel it, drive in it, etc.)!
Dearly LOVE the card. Just beautiful and to me that’s a perfect Christmas card. So pretty.
