Gingerbread Birthday

Hi Everyone.

Happy Sunday night.  I hope you all had a truly fabulous long weekend.

Gingerbread SnowflakesAs many of you seem to have had birthdays in the last two weeks, I thought I  would combine a brand new stamp set I bought with the Moxiefabworld challenge this week.  the challenge?  Snow and Gingerbread.  The inspiration photograph was this wonderful gingerbread snowflake from Martha Stewart.  I saw this and thought… mmmm… that stamp set I bought would work perfectly.

My regular readers will know by now that I have a slightly warped sense of humour, so this set really appealed to me.  Before I show you the inside and the outside though, I must tell you that Lou thought the card was very funny -)

  • Adhere ribbon and then add the DSP layer and the Oval layers

On a personal note:

Ann, it must have been great fun at the pet store buying your Boxer blankets yesterday.  I bet you bought them some Christmas presents whilst you were there, too.  :-)  Beverly, sounds like some sweet crafting steals you got yesterday.  I can't believe the deal you got on your cricuit…. and oh yes, love the roomba sweeper!

We did a little more bargain hunting.  We have been looking to change out our washer and dryer (they are both 12 years old).  For months we have been looking at the steam washer and managed to get them today – both for the price of one.  So, we are done shopping now.  It's great knowing that we will be able to save energy – and money – with both of them from rebates and the general cost of running them.

Beth, I was thinking about you this weekend and thinking how tough it must be for your family.

Continued prayers for:  Germaine.  For Rose.  For Beth and her family.  For Adelle.  For Pri.  I have taken T of the prayer list for a while.  It seems your prayers have been working well and she is doing really well!  For Arthur.  For those of you who need a little lift.  For the families of the 29 miners lost in New Zealand this week.

Hope your Monday is a wonderful one – filled with love, laughter and time spent with those who make you happy!

Hugs

Jaydee

  1. How cute is this!!! I absolute adore it! As for the Boxer babies, they LOVE the pet store, and have selected several toys that they want Santa Paws to bring them! No tree for the Twins this year, but they do have stockings!

  2. Aw, that is just too darn cute! : )
The deal was on a Gypsy for the cricut (I have had my cricut for about 3 years now (?)
    Have a great day!

  3. Oh oh oh!! That is the BEST card! It has me grinning from ear to ear. :o)
Thank you for the birthday wishes (I was on a blog-hopping hiatus last week). It was a wonderful day. :o)
Bargains? Hm, not many here, I’m afraid. I’m not a Black Friday shopper. I’m un-American, I know. ;o)
Prayers, as always, for those in need. My heart broke at the news of the 29 miners in New Zealand. :o(
    Hugs to one and all!

  4. Adorable card. Love the verse too. Guess I’ll have to visit Martha at the craft store, and I just vowed not to spend anymore money on stamping stuff other than SU.
    Just became an SU demonstrator.

  5. What a cute card!
Bargains? Not for me! I bought kitchen organizers from Bed Bath and Beyond at 20% off. Not great and much of it needs to be returned. Hard to think at 5 o’clock in the morning. Didn’t really think about what I needed and how I would organize it. What a chore!!!

  6. Love the card – I have seen the sentiment before and have been known to give gingerbread men to my girlfriends with that particular sentiment attached – at least my friends who share my sense of humour! We made a special trip to the US to help the economy and participate in the black friday sales. It’s become a family tradition! Soooo many good deals – can’t begin to list them all.

  7. What a wonderfully funny card! I love it! By the way, the gingerbread man looks good enough to eat!
Thanks for the kind thoughts this past week, Thanksgiving was hard, but we had much to be thankful for.

  8. That’s cute. But I’m much more interested in the MS cookie. Why can’t my cookies look like that? Do you think my drinking habits cause my hands to shake too much? LOL To bling it up, she should have used a pearl (baking pearl) and some sparkly sugar…lol

  9. Hey Jaydee! What a “sweet” approach to this week’s Tuesday Trigger in the Moxie Fab World! Thanks so much for playing along! 🙂
