Marina Birthday

Hi Everyone.

Happy Wednesday night.  I hope you are all having a great week.

Tonight will be a very quick post.  it is 8.45 and I have only just finished work.  I still need to go feed the cats – and me!

The color challenge across at Stacey's this week was amazing.  But I must admit I did battle with it a little.  I decided to use the same layout from last night's card.  However, I loved the combo once I was finished… so… once again… it goes to show…. you do challenges because they… well, challenge you!  Don't forget to pop across to Stacey's site to see the inspiration and submission cards.  I know you will find something to inspire you.

The colors?  So Saffron, Marina Mist, Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Whisper White.

I used my stencil go stencil in most of the colors.   I incorporated the black in both the mat and the stamped sentiment.

I've been so busy this week, that I don't have world wide web wednesday picks for you!

Prayers for Germaine, T, Pri, John, Sue.  Lesley, Adelle, Rach and their furbabies.

Have a wonderful Thursday everyone

Hugs

Jaydee

  1. I do so love Marina Mist with So Saffron. :o) This is a really cool layout. If I ever have time to stamp (ever again…:sigh:) I’m going to have to give it a go. :o) I know I read your latest idea for adhering a bow, but darned if I can remember. Whatever it is, it looks wonderful. :o)
I hope Lou made it safely to his destination. I hope you have a moment to breathe.
    Prayers and Hugs, everyone!

  2. Your cards are always so beautifully designed. You know exactly where to place each element – something I still struggle to do. Very lovely card.

  3. Beautiful card. I do love the color combination. How did you do the lovely circles at the bottom?

  4. Rach,
I think that was the tip about adding a spot of Crystal Effects under the knot of the bow to stabilize it

  5. Amazing Jaydee! Those pearls…that bow…the punched circles at the bottom. I wouldn’t have recognized it as the same layout from yesterday if you hadn’t pointed it out. When I grow up I want to be just 1/2 as talented as you are!
Warm thoughts and prayers to all those in need (thinking of you especially Germaine) and wishing One & All a wonderful day. 🙂

  6. Hi Jaydee, I have been doing better with my hands – since I started to go for a aqua-massage therapy for hands and feet! Thank you ladies for your prayers.. We have had internet problems, even though it has been fixed it is very slow and mostly just shuts down! Love your card, Jaydee do you colour the half pearls, or do they come in all colours! I love the way you have used them! Thank you for making the time for us!
Hope muffin is doing well, and also that Lou is fine and made it safely to his destination!! Take care and please take some sleep and rest! How is your tooth?? I have a swollen gum on one side of my mouth!! Bye for now my friends – prayers and well wishes to all and a hug to you Jaydee! Hugs always! G

  7. I would love to see a tutorial video using the stencil and coloring the pearls. The stencil looks very soft. The pearls add the perfect touch to these stencils. And the bow, yes, perfect tieing bow. The bottom rounded corners just wrap everything together.

  8. What a lovely, soft effect from the stencils! The colored pearls are a wonderful finishing touch. Thanks for joining us at the Curtain Call this week!
