Red, Black and White Dandelion Wishes

Hi Everyone.  Happy Thursday night.  I am so glad that it is ALMOST the weekend!

It was another long day again today!  However, I did manage to get to visit a couple of challenge blogs and noticed a couple of wonderful projects that I wanted to callout.  So, World Wide Web Wednesday – is occurring on Thursday!

My card for you tonight was based on our color challenge across at the Paper Players.  I love this card!  Cherry Cobbler, Black, Whisper White and a little touch of grey.  What a beautiful combination!

I saw this stamp set and fell in love with it – all of the elements on here are separate elements.  Every flower, each layer of the sentiment, etc..  The funny thing is, on the rare occasions I buy a non-SU stamp set, I always see it with SU stamps, inks and accessories.  So.. let me show you tonight's card first and then we will go and visit some absolute masterpieces.  In fact, these master pieces are so amazing that I almost didn't put up a card tonight!

I'm sorry… but I just couldn't get a good pic .. something was just not right with my lighting.  You all know how rich and luscious Cherry Cobbler is, so you will just have to believe me that this looks lovely IRL.

Now…. on to a treat for you all…. some of the amazing projects that I saw during a couple of brief stops at challenge sites tonight.

Ghoulish cake

Golden scallops

Antiques

There are two others for you – but I couldn't find a direct link to either of them.  So I am going to point to the page and tell you what to look for:

The best ever – all time – Elements of Style card – look for teneale's card – blue with a black bow

Go to papercrafts – at this link and check out the first card – embellished tree

With that… I am definitely going to pack up my paper snips and dump all of my goodies on the sidewalk with a big sign saying "please take me"!   Seriously, those are some awesome projects!

On a personal note:  Lou is off to Australia for the weekend.  He tells me Singapore is incredibly hot and humid.  Yep.  It's summer!  He also tells me that it has changed a lot since we lived there.  Apparently there are the ubiquitous Starbucks everywhere now!  Lou will be spending the weekend with his family down-under… as for me… I will be spending time with Cherie and Brenda finishing off the cards for OWH.  I  have been working my way through them when I can this week.  But as Brenda and Cherie have almost 600 between them…. it's going to be a busy morning!  I'm really looking forward to time spent with treasured friends doing something good for someone!

Prayers tonight for Germaine (so glad to hear from you, my friend – and also that you are feeling a little relief).  T and Pri.  John and Sue.  Rach, Adelle, Lesley and their furbabies.  For those of you who need a little lift.

As always, thank you for spending time in my little area of the stamping blogosphere.  You know I appreciate it – and I appreciate your comments.

Tomorrow… Feel Good Friday.  This Feel Good story made we cry more than just about any other story – ever – but tears of joy!

Hugs

Jaydee

  1. Jaydee, you CAN’T hang it all up and dump your stuff, for you see, YOU are that card for me. ;o) Then, who would inspire me to want to hang up my snips? :oP
I LOVE this card. Everything about it. The Cherry Cobbler (my all time favorite red), the elements, the simple layout, everything. It’s wonderful!
I hope Lou has a wonderful visit with his family, and I hope you and Cherie and Brenda have a blast!
    Prayers for one and all.

  2. Well put Rach! and you even made it rhyme:) While they are creative cards, the most intricate used punches. You my dear make your stunning creations with your little snips and your perfectly placed ribbons and pearls. No shortcuts for you and it shows in your consistancy. I have yet to see a posting that didn’t make me go Ohhhh WOW!
Can’t to get together to work on the OWH cards, I feel so blessed to be a part of this amazing show of generosity.
Warm thoughts and prayers to all of those in need, and to One & All have a Fabulous Friday!

  3. Great card! Love the colors together and the layering. Have fun looking at all the cards for OWH!

  4. I do like your choices of stamp set and the sentiment even though they are not SU. Thank you for sharing with us. I can’t wait to see the cards going out to OWH and what’s the grand number of cards did you received.
