Hi Everyone. Happy Tuesday night.
It was a beautiful day here in Minnesota, thankfully a little cooler than it was yesterday. We did manage to spend this afternoon doing some spring cleaning. We are starting in the basement and working our way up… oh.. .then out to the garage! The basement isn't done yet, but at least we are on our way.
Tonight's card uses Elements of Style. You know, I really wasn't that keen on getting this set, but did it to challenge myself. As you can all tell, vintage isn't my comfort zone and I wanted to see if I could still make some fairly CAS cards with this set. It really is a very beautiful image and I have greatly enjoyed playing with it.
For this card I decided to use pinks and greens. It's such a great color combination and lends itself to a feminine card. As this card is going into the card drive, I refrained from putting glitter or anything on it. I was tempted, though, to add a little glitter onto a couple of the flowers. Thinking about it, I could have actually used the Shimmer Paints!
You can see that for this card I made a double bow. I don't often do that, but it seemed to fit for this card. I must admit I'm pleased that the Tiny Tags is staying around in the new catty.
Oh…. don't get me started on the new catty. Just a week to go before my new order will be arriving courtesy of "my" wonderful man in brown! It's less than a week until we see the preview and get to place our order. I'm really hoping that we can order the new colors on June 1. I really want to get my hands on more of the new colors – and the in colors! So…. if any of you demos out there that visit my blog regularly have received a preview copy of their catty and would like to share a little information with me… I pay in chocolate :-)
What am I hoping for in the new catty?
- some bigger punches
- a new baby set – preferably several
- a refresh of the love/valentines/anniversary sets
- more embossing folders
- lots more ribbon
- loose pearls and rhinestones in lots of colors
- sentiments for inside of the cards
- more sentiments like favorite thoughts
- and George Clooney in a UPS uniform to deliver them for me

I'm getting excited about the card drive and am so pleased that some of you are offering to participate and help the children and troops. It really warms my heart – as I know it will do for those receiving your great creations.

Gorgeous card for a CAS card! I definitely need to know how to make that double bow. It is just beautiful. Great job on the coloring, although I missed what you said you used, maybe markers? I hope to be as good as you some day with my coloring. Glad you are getting somewhere with your Spring Cleaning, only you start yours the exact opposite of us. We start at the top and work down. lol. Going to see Doc about Bronchitis on Wednesday, if alright then Chemo will start up. I have already lost 1/3 of my hair! Why is it that we never think much of our hair until we start to lose it, and then it becomes our identity? Oh well, enough about that. I hope Everyone is doing well or at the very least getting better. I wish you all well. Blessings.

Wow! You have quite a wish list for the new catty! I just love looking thru it for the first time and seeing all the new stamp sets. I too would like some new sentiment stamps.
The card today is beautiful. I feel like I always say that, but they are always so pretty! I like the placement of the bow at the very bottom of the paper. Cool double bow too, first time I have seen that.
I had a gorgeous UPS man for a while, but it’s been about a year since I’ve seen him. I wonder if he is doing film or theatre now. He certainly had the smile and the legs for it. Don’t you love those brown shorts!
Can’t believe I will be in England for the start of the new catalog. Maybe I will have to find someone there to play with while I am on holiday.

My wish list for the new Catalog:
new sentements (preferably a few sassy ones), colored 1/2 pearls, more toys for my big shot, and an extra hour or two per day so I can actually find some time to create! I would even pass up the delivery from George for that extra hour! BTW, Thank You so so very much for that visual Jaydee! It’s put a huge smile on my face :0)
Beautiful CAS card, you have to share with us how you tied that double bow. I’ve never attempted one and wouldn’t know where to begin.

I have to say, that stamp set really didn’t appeal to me when I saw it in the mini. I’m not a vintage person at all, and had NO idea how I would make it work, especially as I prefer a more clean look. You? You’ve done it. You’ve done it more than once and it is beautiful.
Ah, a sneak peek. Oh how I wish! I do hope we can begin ordering the new colors and In Colors June 1. I’m going to be haunting the demo site, lol! But, as I’m only a hobbyist demo, I’m unlikely to get any early looks at anything.
Oh Jaydee, you make me laugh, I love to read your blog and see you cards….. I had a chance to meet George Clooney, when they were shooting the movie Syriana – The hotel has an apt block attached to it, where my friend lives, so we got pictures taken with him, man he is handsome and has great legs…so I could have told him to get to you soon!! Oh, I just love this card, and the colours are beautiful. I have seen this stamp a few times now. It is gorgeous. Hope they bring it to Australia soon.
Great minds!!! We both used this stamp set this week AND talked about Magic Erasers for cleaning up walls, lol! Only I was using the threat of it for my “bored”, now home on summer vacation, daughter!
I’m also a Demo and I know we are getting a new scalloped circle punch (larger) that the 1 3/4″ circle fits into. Not sure about anything else though. I think we’ll get more punches and I’m so hoping for more ribbon choices. I’d also love pearls and rhinestones because then I’d get them at a discount and be able to shop from home!!!

I am REALLY excited about the new catalog. This is my first time anticipating a new catalog and it is really fun. I’m finally thrilled about the new colors and can’t wait to see all of the fun new paper and accessories. I would also love to see a refreshed V-Day stamp since it is my favorite holiday and all. I hope your George stops by soon!
