Hi Everyone. Happy Saturday. A warm fall welcome to Jaydee's Stampin Space. today's card is a Christmas card… now… that is such a different card for me :-) I have no idea what I'm going to do when Christmas is over. I don't know why, but I get so inspired by Christmas. I can't wait to get home and do some more cards. I'm really missing my furry friends and my stampin space. Hopefully, by the time you are reading this post, I will have seen lots of birds, leopard, lion, warthogs and giraffe! I'll post some pics when we get back… if all we see is bush.. then the posts will be pretty boring 🙂
Now, back to the card for today. I wanted to do something different with the Delightful Decorations… in fact, this time I wanted to feature the Ornament punch and the Merry and Bright rub-ons. I also wanted to do another red and white Christmas card.
How I made the card:
- Real Red card stock
- Polka dot window sheet
- Three ornaments – two cut on real red card stock and one cut from the Christmas Cocoa DSP. I ran one of the ornaments through the big shot to get the polka dot embossing – and on the other I rubbed on a specially designed sentiment from the Merry & Brights rub-on set
- I used the silver elastic cord from the mini to create hangers for the ornaments and attached them to the window sheet using real red grosgrain ribbon.
- I added half pearls to the ornament ribbons
- I finished it up with a piece of the double-stitched grosgrain ribbon
I was pleased with the card, but it was pretty tough to photograph for you, because of the window sheet! I love the way the ornament punch and the rub-ons and the stamps, all work with each other to provide an amazing variety of uses. You can see my other delightful decorations cards here
Have a fabulous Saturday everyone and, as always, thank you for visiting my little area of the stamping blogosphere. Your visits are always appreciated.
Peace
Jaydee
