Lots of Bots- Happy Birthday

Hi Everyone

Let's look at something a little different today.  I absolutely fell in love with the Stampin Up Lots of Bots set when I saw the preview.  There's something very appealing about the Bots themselves, but also the juxtaposition of the nuts and bolts stamp with the binary stamp.  I'd seen this pop thru card sometime ago… and please forgive me because I cannot remember the website I'd seen it on.  I'll go checking a little later to see if I have it written down anywhere to give credit for the "case".  I do remember it was someone in the UK.  Anyway, there are many variations on the web.  Here's mine.  The first pic is the closed version. (and… in case you are wondering….) I haven't been able to figure out what the binary says, other than gibberish.  if there's anyone more technically adept out there with binary than me, and you can decipher anything out of it, please let me know!

Then, magically 🙂 when you pull the top binary piece, it turns into this:

Isn't he delightful?  I think this sort of card can be workable for just about anyone – young or old.  Of course, I absolutely love the sentiment.  For some reason, these bots just scream "color me".  I really felt like an 8 year old who was really excited about coloring in. :-)  I love the way the card unfolds and the fact that the bot is surrounded by nuts and bolts when you stand him up.  I used Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo and Whisper White for the Cardstock.  I used the in color markers (love them 🙂 ) to color in the bot.  Hope you enjoy.

On a personal note… today was a spectacular day.  More like early fall than summer, but wonderful.  I had to go and pick up cat food (yes, i still feed the brats even though they eat my headphones and disrupt my conference calls!)  Driving to the pet store, I realized that mother nature is the most amazing gardener of all.  I live in the mid-west, which is traditionally prarie land and, mother nature, in all her glory, has provided us with Monet-type paintings all over the place; fallow fields, medians, roadsides…. anywhere she can get a foothold.  Profusions of yellow and purple and white… the grasses so numerous I lost count on the way to the store.  It made me happy just looking at it all…. oh, I promise, I was actually watching the traffic, too!

If you are following my blog, please could I ask you to help out an amazing young lady called Mimi.  She was 12 years old when she decided she really wanted to help animals at homeless shelters.  She started a website called www.freekibble.com and freekibblekat.com.  Everyday there is a new question and everyday, when you answer the question, the sponsors she has worked with donate 10 pieces of kibble to shelters for cats or dogs.  I think she is amazing and I support her every day.  You can click this link for her story.  If you love animals, please click the links every day and help out animals – and let Mimi know that she did an amazing thing.  Here's Mimi's about me page http://freekibble.com/about.asp.  It costs absolutely nothing and even I, who used to breed cats, learned a few things!

Happy Thursday! May your day be filled with inkspiration and lots of stampin' and happy times.  As always, thank you so much for spending a little part of your day in my area of the stampin blogosphere.
Jaydee

P.S.  I'd like to give a shout-out to my darling hubby.  He's on the road everyweek, but visits my page every day and oooohs and aaaahs over my creations.  I love you and I miss you!
