Sweet Bouquet for Paper Players 653

Happy Sunday.

It’s the fabulous Anne Marie’s turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it’s color week.  Anne Marie always manages to come up with some great color choices that force me out of my comfort zone and I love that.  For today’s card I pulled out a set from Altenew called Sweet Bouquet as well as a fabulous die from The Stamp Market.

As you can see from the sneak peek, I did some watercoloring for this challenge and I am loving all those bright colors.  Here’s Anne Marie’s color choices:

For my neutral I chose kraft.  It’s not a color I use often, but thought it would work with these rich colors.  I added some texture to my kraft base with a large polka dot embossing folder and then used an SU embossing folder for extra texture on the piano shaped die.  I stamped the image with Stazon and then watercolored it with the colors I had closest to the SU colors.  I added a little twine and a sentiment and the card was complete.

Here’s my card:

I hope you will join us and play along with Anne Marie’s colors.  We would love to see what you create.  I’ll be back tomorrow with another card.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee

  1. Wow, Jaydee! There is so much yummy texture on this card. I LOVE how the flowers nestle against the piano shaped die. What a great layout! Your loose watercoloring in the challenge colors has created such a gorgeous bouquet of flowers.

  2. Jaydee, I LOVE this card! The kraft embossed paper and twine are the perfect background to set off the brightness of your flowers – very pretty.
    Xoxo, Fran

  3. Jaydee, I love this card!!! Your style, the colours, everything. Thank you!

  4. Jaydee, I have been waiting so long to tell you how much I LOVE this card. All of the elements just came together so beautifully. The background die is so fun and yet elegant. The colors were used in just the right places. THe twine with the eyelets – the best. I’m gushing. Just Gorgeous!
