Happy Wednesday.
I hope you are all having a fabulous week. As for me, it’s still cold and snowy here in Minnesota, so I was able to escape to my craft room for a little play time. Mind you, I must admit, I spent more time organizing (re-organizing) and sorting than I did actually crafting! However, I was inspired to make a card using the queen of all enablers, the very talented Michele F across at Freshly Made Sketches. I knew exactly what I was going to use to make my card the minute I saw the sketch. It was time to bring out the die-set that I got as part of the Crafty Box from the amazing Jennifer McGuire. I can honestly say it isn’t a die I would have gone out and bought, but once I pulled it from the crafty box and used it, I fell in love with it.
Here’s a sneak peek:

It really is such a cool die and I thought it was perfect for the challenge sketch. Talking about the challenge sketch, here it is!

OOOOOOPs….. Once I brought the sketch in for the blog post I noticed a major thing I had missed the first time around. The position of the sentiment! UGH…. I didn’t want to remake the card, so I created 3 different sentiments, placed them on the card, photographed them, and then couldn’t make up my mind which I liked!!!! So, you get to see all four 🙂

The top one is the original one. I do think that the addition of a sentiment in the top left corner adds something to the sketch, but I don’t think the little Merry Christmas works at all. I’m OK with the other two and think that the larger Merry Christmas is the best.
I know the team across at FMS would love it if you played along – and remembered where to put the sentiment:-)!!!
I’ll be back later in the week. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

ohhhhh I LOVE IT! The sketch, that die and your amazing background — what a beautiful card, Jaydee! I too think your opinion on the upper sentiment is just right — it looks great without it, but the last upper sentiment is also perfect
Your die was just waiting to make an appearance, Jaydee and you’ve pulled it out at the perfect time! I love the beautifully ink blended background and all of the sentiments work wonderfully! Always good to see you in the FMS gallery!
Oh this is fabulous! Your gorgeous background makes that die-cut pop! Thanks so much for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches.
