Cozy Cup for Paper Players #611

Happy Sunday.

It's the fabulous Joanne's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week.  Oh, as soon as I saw the theme for this week I knew I had to bring out one of my favorite all time stamp sets.  It was this stamp set that attracted me to The Greetery. I just love it and I love how dimensional it looks when it's photographed.  Cozy Cup!  Doesn't that sound perfect for fall?

Here's a sneak peek:

I just love these rich colors, perfect for the theme this week!

Fall really is one of my favorite times of the year.  I love the crisp air, the cool nights and the cozy, warm, rich colors.  For my card, I started by stamping and die-cutting the cup and the "coffee".  I then die-cut the mat for the coffee cup and stamped and die-cut the leaf and spoon.   I also stamped and die-cut some leaves from the Autumn Bliss collection.  After all, if we are talking about falling leaves, how perfect to have a couple scattered on the card 🙂

Of course, I had to bring out my favorite stencil – Knit Wits – to add a little texture to the background.  Here's my card:

I hope you will join us and play along with Joanne's theme.  As always, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:

On a personal note:

Sorry my blog is so late going live today.  My hosting platform – Typepad – has been down since yesterday early evening and has only just come back on line!

I didn't get to do much on World Card Making day, but did get to make one card and I will share that with you later.  Today, it's a little house work and then, hopefully, I can get back into my craft room.  I have some gouache paints that I want to play around with.  As a medium it fascinates me, but it's going to take some practice getting used to them.  I love the idea that they are like watercolor, but you can layer them and use them on dark cardstock.  mmmm…. endless possibilities me thinks!

I'll be back tomorrow with another card.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift today.

Hugs

Jaydee
