Happy Saturday.
It’s the fabulous Toni’s turn to host our Addicted to CAS challenge and she has a code word that is very close to my heart.
I brought out a set I bought on a whim from Amazon. Generally I do not buy stamps on Amazon from companies that I don’t know. I’ve so so many knock-offs on AZN that even showcase the original manufacturer samples, etc and are obviously flaunting intellectual property rights. So I personally avoid them. I was buying a Waffle Flower set when this set popped up in the window. I thought the birds were hysterical. I searched all across Google to see if they were part of an IP set from a company I knew and couldn’t find them, so decided to go ahead and buy them. Their ridiculous faces just make me smile!
Here’s a sneak peek:

I decided to keep the colors to blue, yellow and green to keep them cohesive. Seriously, aren’t they just adorable?!
Here’s our code word for this challenge:

Once I had created the focal image I needed something to ground it, so I die-cut a vellum circle from the Stampin’ Up! Spotlight on Nature die set and colored the back of the vellum with my blue Copic marker.
I colored the branch and then added a sentiment and popped everything up on a piece of linen cardstock that was adhered to the card base with several layers of spare cardstock.
Here’s my full card:

We would love to see WHAT you create with Toni’s code word. I know that you will come up with some wonderful cards featuring your favorite critters 🙂
I’ll be back tomorrow with my Paper Players card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs

Love this card and the colors you used. I’ve a friend who is a birder, so I’ll have to get this set. Hugs to you.
Oh My! These are the sweetest, silliest birds I ever did see – their expressions are hilarious. I love the simplicity of color scheme too
