Spellbinders Timeless Truck and Scenic Drive Stencil for Paper Players Challenge #788

Happy Sunday.

It’s the fabulous Joanne’s turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it’s tic-tac-toe week! I love the TTT week challenges as we get such a wonderful diversity of cards in the DT and submission gallery. As for me, I decided to bring out the Spellbinders Timeless Truck (still think this will be great on Christmas cards – Very Hallmark-ish!) I paired it with the Scenic Drive Stencil and Cruisin’ by sentiments to create a masculine card.

Here’s a sneak peek:

I must admit I love this truck, but the pieces were a bear to put together! But I think it was worth it for all that wonderful detail.

Here’s our TTT board from Joanne:

I began by stencilng the background and then die-cut it with a circle day. I then set about die-cutting the parts of the truck and assembling them.

For my TTT I went with a diagonal top left to bottom right.

Circles, free, layers

Such a cool image. I have all three of the classic/timeless cars from this set and love each one of them. As always our design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:

LeAnne Pugliese

Claire Broadwater

Joanne James

Anne Marie Hile

Ann Schach

Jan Clothier

Stef Perry

Christy Stanford

I’ll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Card recipe:

  • Dies: Timeless Truck – Spellbinders
  • Stencil: Scenic Drive – Spellbinders

Hugs

  1. Such a fun card, Jaydee! My hubs was showing me pictures of trucks from the 40s and 50s yesterday : ) Love the stenciled sunset background and your truck looks fabulous! Hope you have a wonderful week!

  2. Jaydee, your amazing stenciled sunset is the perfect background for this vintage truck. I completely agree – this truck would look great on holiday cards. This die may be a bear to assemble, but the result was well worth it. Have a wonderful week!

  3. Altho I’m not a truck person, I LOVE your card!!! You did an amazing job on the color of the truck & beautiful/interesting background!! Spellbinders has the best dies!
    Thanks for sharing!! GREAT card!

  4. The stencilled circle background is really interesting – almost Art Deco in style – and it makes the truck stand out. It looks as thought it’s quite a task to assemble the truck from the components but worth it. There was a classic car rally here last weekend and I saw a truck just like this with the personalised plate FORD43 and I commented to my husband how often you see trucks like that in the stamping world. 🙂

  5. Oh, the memories are.evoked.by this sweet scene and truck. Classic vehicles are a fave of mine, and SO easy to use on cards. Love it!
