Game On for Paper Players #554

Happy Sunday.

It's the fabulous Anne Marie's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's CAS week.  Here is Anne Marie's theme:

One of my go to sets for masculine cars – especially clean and simple cards, is Stampin' Up!'s Game On.  For this card, I stamped the checkerboard stamp several times in the middle of the card.  I then stamped the chess pieces, colored and shaded them and then fussy cut them.  I popped the pieces up off the card base to add a little interest and added the sentiment.  Easy.  Peasy.

Here's my card:

Game On (1 of 1)-6

To add a little interest, I used the Crimped Frames die from The Greetery and backed the whole card front onto a piece of grey card stock from Simon Says Stamp.  Clean and Simple and Lou approved!

I hope you will join us and play along with our challenge this week.  As always, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:

On a personal note:

Oh… the joy of cooler days with a slight breeze.  What a pleasant couple of days it has been.  The temps have been in the 80s during the day, but down in the 60s at night.  The dew point has been very comfortable and it has just felt marvelous.

The Grosbeak's have gone, but I thought you might enjoy a couple of shots of them.  I miss their bright calls and wonderful pops of black and white when the male is in flight.

Grosbeak male (1 of 1)

The female is so different – which is perfect when you are trying to protect the babies at the nest.

Grosbeak female (1 of 1)

She's beautiful in her own way – but the male is certainly much more colorful and striking!

I'll be back tomorrow with another card.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee
