North Pole for Paper Players #468

Hi Everyone.

Happy Sunday.  It's my turn to host the Paper Players challenge this week – and it's theme week.

As an aside, I just love the badge that Nance created for our challenge….. Seeing the Aurora is on my life list.  This year, we had a 98% chance of seeing it in our area – but it was rainy and cloudy that night!  So, I wasn't able to check it off my life list!

For my card, I pulled out a very old stamp set from the The Rubber Cafe called North Pole.  It's one of those stamps that I will never give away.  I usually use the other stamp for my cards, but decided this little elf was perfect for the theme

I colored him with my kuretake real brush markers and watered the color down to give a more muted look.  As this fit better with the paper behind him.

As it's clean and simple week, I added no embellishments and just popped the tag off the base.

Here's my card:

North Pole (1 of 1)
Don't you love that DSP?

I hope you will join us and play along with our clean and simple North Pole theme challenge.  We can't wait to see what you create.

As usual, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:

On a personal note:

Well, my amazing hubby might have done a wonderful thing shopping in a scrapbook store when he was recently in Australia, but he's also given me a flu bug!  I was hoping to get into my craft room to make some cards and play along with some challenges today.  Instead, I think it's curl up in a comfy chair, wrapped in a blanket, drinking soup and just chilling day!

I do hope to get to play in my craft room this week… after all I have these new Australiana goodies to play with!  If I do, I will be back with cards during the week.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee

  1. Oh my gosh! What a great elf image, Jaydee! I LOVE that nose…it makes me smile! This is one of my favorite designer paper patterns. I like how you added interest by using the stitched dies. It’s Clean and Perfect!

  2. Your elf is super cute Jaydee and the muted colours do compliment that scrummy DSP beautifully. This is a fun challenge this week! I’m sorry you are feeling under the weather too – keep warm and rest up!

  3. Oh Jaydee, I am so sorry you are ill! Wishing you a speedy recovery!
This is such a FUN challenge! I love the inspiration photo, too! What I sight it would be to witness this! One day!
