Hi Everyone.
It's the fabulous Claire's turn to host our Paper Players challenge and it's theme week.
I don't have any back to school related items, so had to try to find something that might work. I remembered I had some fun papers and ephemera on hand for cards that I am making up to send to children in hospital. I thought the paper and the speech bubble could work for someone returning to school 🙂
Here's my card:
I hope you will join us and play along this week. As usual, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:
On a personal note:
I did get to spend some time in my craft room yesterday. So, I will have some cards to share later this week.
Today, I think I am going to retreat to my craft room to try to block out the happenings of yesterday. My thoughts and prayers go out to all those families affected in El Paso and Dayton. I really have no words to describe how I feel . Prayers, too, for those of who you need a little lift today.
Hugs
Jaydee

I’m feeling very sad today as well, my friend. t’s just becoming to commonplace and it’s not ok. Your card brought a smile to my face though. The punny sentiment and the paper really make for a fun card to bring some cheer to the recipient. I think we all need more of that right now. Big hugs!
Jaydee that farmyard patterned paper is adorable and your punny sentiment perfect for back to school wishes! Sometimes having fewer supplies helps make the best cards!
Adorable paper!! What a fun idea and so cute too. Yes it is so tragic now days with so many awful things happening. Hugs!
What great paper! And, the speech bubble is perfect! Love it, Jaydee!
Cute card, Jaydee! I think this is perfect for a back-to-school theme; those papers are adorable and the sentiment would give anyone a chuckle!
Love this card Jaydee! Such delightful paper, especially with that great sentiment. I’m so happy you’re back to crafting again!
It’s been heartbreaking to hear about both tragedies this weekend. The Dayton shooting was only 15 min away from us and I work in the ER at one of the hospitals victims were taken to. Our community is numb.
Such a fun card…and cute word bubble! I like the frame idea too! I need to use it more!
Yes, the tragedies just keep happening and my heart is heavy. Why oh why?
Your card made me smile though! I love that farm paper and the puny sentiment! This card would certainly brighten anyone’s day! Since I grew up on a farm, I certainly can relate to all those items. You made my challenge shine this week and I love how you thought outside the box on the theme. Big hugs, MY friend. I hope you are feeling so much better! XXX
I absolutely adore this card, Jaydee! The paper is precious. This old farm girl LOVES it. How perfect when paired with this sentiment. I understand completely how you are feeling…
