Happy Friday. Today is my birthday and I decided to take the day off from work and spend some time doing happy things – like playing in my craft room 🙂
I found this great sketch across at AtlanticHeartsSketches and decided to play along:
Sketches with multiple layers scare me these days! The good thing about multiple layers though is that they are perfect to showcase some fabulous DSP and I decided it was time to bring out the Bird Ballad that has been sitting in my craft room unused for a couple of months. Very little stamping was required for this… just the sentiment. The bird was fussy cut from a piece of the leftover DSP.

I love the soft colors mixed together, they really are so pretty.
On a personal note:
Well, today we are celebrating my birthday quietly, and at home. Lou is cooking dinner and I get to relax. Can't go wrong with that! I'm hoping to get back into my craft room this week and play along with some more challenges. If the weather is agreeable, I might even be able to get out and see if I can capture photos of any of our visitors. We did see the return of the first of the Spring birds this week and the Crane's even made an appearance. Sadly, they flew straight over us and didn't stop by.
I hope you and your families are all well and staying safe. I'll be back with my Paper Players card tomorrow. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
