Birthday wishes and it’s all pink!

Hi Everyone.  Happy Tuesday.

In last night's post I promised to share the feminine version of the card that I made.  I used exactly the same stamps and sketch – the one from clean and simple on sunday

Last night's card might have been all masculine, but this version is all girl.  Pink isn't generally my go to color, but I love Pink Pirouette with this shimmer pink card stock.  The card stock has a very similar color to the new SU Strawberry Slush and it is absolutely yummy.  I paired it with Basic Grey ink and some Silver Glimmer specialty paper.

Here's my feminine version of the card:

Casonsunday

With this version you can see the star gazer additions constellation much better and I love the silver stars with the pink.

Why not pop along to casonsunday and play along – entries close on Friday. 🙂

On a personal note:

Another gorgeous day here.  Temps in the 70s with low humidity.  I am starting to see little pops of green on the trees and coming up in our garden.   With the warmer weather, hopefully everything will start to bud and flourish quickly.  I checked the long range weather forecast and we are expecting gorgeous weather for the next 10 days!

Lots of birds at the feeder and I even saw the turkey's yesterday.  They have finally reappeared!  However, I have had no sighting of the Oriole since yesterday.  Mmmm… seems the jelly and fresh oranges aren't quite enough for him!  We still have a lot of red shouldered blackbirds hogging the feeder and I think that might be part of the problem!

As always, thank you for visiting my little area of the stamping blogosphere.  I'll be back tomorrow with another card.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee

  1. Pink Pirouette is an excellent pairing with the Strawberry Slush (have I mentioned how much I am in LOVE with the new In Colors? I have? Really? Well, I AM! ;oP), and oh how lovely is glimmer paper? :sigh: Truly fantastic card, Jaydee. :o)
Hooray for Spring! Hooray for temps in the 70’s–it’s about time! :o)
I have the same trouble with some birds being feeder hogs–the starlings in particular. Gr. They scare off my chickadees, goldfinches, house finches, cardinals and tufted titmice. Drives me BATTY! ARGH!
Today’s the day Bitty has her braces put on. She’s a wreck and sure to be sore tonight–poor baby. Wish us luck.
    Hugs!
    P.S. Hello, Lou! I hope all’s going well. :o)

  2. Stunning card! I am really loving the Star Gazer feel of this feminine card!
We are enjoying lovely weather here in Maine, too. So nice to open the windows and hear the birds sing.

  3. Ooooh…This is lovely!! 🙂 Lovin’ all the different ‘highlights’ to this card! Thanks for playing with us at CAS on Sunday!
