Black and White + 1 for Cas-ual fridays

Hi Everyone.  Happy Wednesday.  Hope you are all having a great week.  Us?  Well, it's been close to -30 with windchill and we are prepping for the next storm, along with much of the rest of the country!

The challenge across at cas-ual fridays this week is to create a clean and simple card using black and white and 1 other color.

Well, I couldn't wait to take up that challenge.   I had purchased a super cool embossing folder this weekend.  I was in buying a copic marker and this embossing folder was at the checkout calling my name!  Honestly, I can avoid chocolate at the checkout counter, why can't I avoid an embossing folder? 🙂

This challenge was a great excuse to use it.  So, here's much masculine, CAS card using black, white and a little bit of red!

I'm sorry the photo isn't so great.  I just couldn't get a decent, bright photo without losing the detail of the embossing folder, which seemed to defeat the object 🙂

Don't forget to pop along to the cas-ualfridays blog and check out the design team and submission cards.  There's plenty to get your creative juices flowing!

I'll be back on Friday with another card and a little blog candy.  In the meantime, have a wonderful Thursday and thank you for visiting my little area of the stamping blogosphere.  You know that your visits and your comments are greatly appreciated.

Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee

  1. What a fabulous color combo and I love that pop of red. :o) The embossing folder is really cool!
I’m sorry about your storm and the blisteringly cold temps. I’m freezing just reading that! Brr.
You and Lou and the fubabies stay warm!!
    Hugs!
P.S. Lou, you ARE home for this one, right? :oS

  2. Longing the embossing folder! I’m so glad we’re in Florida missing a wee bit of an already, way too long winter! Great card, like the buttons too, as well as the colour combo!

  3. Like the simplicity of your card along with the embossing folder.
Just something about black and white cards that make them look so elegant and that red heart….nice touch.
Stay warm and may you have a great day and a better day tomorrow.

  4. I love black and white with a touch of red. The embossing folder has lots of possibilities and you nailed this one!

  5. I share your weakness – I don’t think I’ve met an embossing folder I didn’t like LOL!! Your new one is terrific and I love the space for the sentiment. Beautifully done for the challenge too, with the cute and sassy red heart!
Take care in that frigid weather; ours in the Northwest is downright balmy in comparison!
