On a personal note:
Oh… it was so… so.. so.. glorious today. It was in the 50s and sunny. I swear you can sit on a chair and watch the leaves sprouting outside.
We put up a couple of new bird houses today and are hoping that we can entice the Tree Swallows and Chickadees to use the new boxes. We also put out a bluebird house and bought another one and convinced our neighbors to put it on their lot :-) A week ago there were two pairs of blue birds, two pairs of swallows, a pair of chickadees and a pair of house sparrows fighting for a single box. Of course, the house sparrows were winning and we knew that we had to do something about that.
That afternoon we went out to buy bluebird only boxes, but… sadly… it was half a day too late, as they had moved on when we got back. We are hoping that they will come back in a couple of months when they are ready to roost again.
When we put up the swallow house this afternoon, it was only a couple of minutes before there were two pairs of swallows checking out the box. The same thing with the chickadees….so… we really are hoping that we can provide them with a little help in the nesting department 🙂
I'm hoping to get some time in my craft room tomorrow… I really am itching to make some more cards, especially as I have to finish my Cards for a Cause for Splitcoaststampers as there are only a couple more days left in the month. I can't believe that we are almost at the end of April. ALREADY!
I'll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

Jaydee, this is so beautiful! I absolutely LOVE those gorgeous poppies! WOW!
Bluebirds are my favorite birds. I hope yours return. I think they will!
Have a wonderful week, My Friend! XX
Your poppies are just gorgeous! What beautiful coloring! And dang those birds…sometimes my bluebirds get ousted but last year they stood their ground and managed to stay! I saw them earlier this spring but haven’t seen them lately, so I hope they are still around!
That is such a beautiful card. Love them poppies and such beautiful coloring
Did survive the fast moving storms we had the other night; 60-70-mph winds, hail, tornado watches as well as warnings. Did have some shingle damage and debris in the yard but all and all it was pretty minor considering. Was so glad when the storm finally moved out of the area.
Beautiful, beautiful card! Your coloring is wonderful – I’m so impressed how well the reds and oranges have blended.
Jaydee those poppies are stunning – so beautifully coloured, I don’t think I would tire of this stamp either! What a hive of activity your garden is; I’m afraid the blue tit that has roosted in our bird box over winter seems to have departed and nested elsewhere this year, which is such a shame – so I’ll be following your bird tales with interest.
I understand why you are inspired by that poppy stamp – It’s absolutely beautiful! Love your choice of vibrant colors against the light blues!
Beautiful poppy stamp and stunning coloring!! I will aspire to be that good someday (with practice!). The colored background really makes your poppies pop! I love all the blue, it’s such a warm card 🙂
Gorgeous card, Jaydee! I love how the bright red poppies “pop” on the shades of blue. Beautiful coloring, my friend!
Absolutely stunning, Jaydee! The poppies are striking. I LOVE this card!
Those poppies are just beautiful, Jaydee! What a pretty stamp. I love the bit of gold sparkle, too. Thanks for the tip about the card stock for use with Copics. I am going to check it out right now!
Those red poppies are so pretty! I love them with the blue.Love the sparkle, too!
