Botanical Prints for FreshlyMadeSketches #418

Hi Everyone.

Very quick post for you tonight 🙂  I saw this great sketch across at FreshlyMade

Now… I love the sketch but….. I don't have any edging dies, so I ended up with the largest oval that I had, but it didn't cut end to end on a 5.5" card!  So, I had to improvise.

One of the new sets that I got from SU recently is Botanical Prints.  I love the stamps.  I wasn't sure what I was going to do with the paper or the little wasps/bees that come with the bundle… however, this sketch gave me the perfect excuse to get out of my comfort zone and….. ok… the earth is going to stop spinning… I didn't use white anywhere on the card!  Nope… not a single piece… well, at least not on the outside! 🙂  The lemons might look white on the DSP, but they really aren't.  They are a soft grey.

Here's my card:

Botanical Prints (1 of 1)-2

As I used a dark grey base, I needed to add a white insert for the inside.

Botanical Prints Inside (1 of 1)-2

I'll be back tomorrow with another card.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee

Card recipe:

  • Cardstock:  Simon Says Stamp – 3 shades of grey
