Botanicuts Morning Glory for Freshly Made Sketches #580

Happy Easter!  This is my second post today.  You can find my Paper Players card here.

Today has been one of the very few days in months that I got to play in my craft room just for the fun of it.  It’s a beautiful sunny day and I was inspired by the unique sketch across at Freshly Made Sketches.

I have a die that I bought a couple of months ago from The Greetery called Morning Glory and it is part of their Botanicuts family.  I used a stencil – also from The Greetery to create the four boxes from the sketch at Freshly Made.

Here’s the sketch from Freshly Made:

I die-cut and blended all of the elements from the Morning Glory dies and then assembled them.  I also die-cut a second layer to add a little strength to the colored version.  I used the Color Spots stencil to create the 4 distinct areas of the sketch onto a piece of white card stock using a slightly lighter color of ink than I used for the morning glories.  I used a stitched rectangle die to allow me to create a frame for the focal image.  I added a sentiment and mounted the morning glory onto the base with some foam dots.  I also backed the stencilled layer with 4 pieces of cardstock to provide a gap between the base of the card and the focala layer.
Here’s my full card:
Well, I am going back into my crafting area to see if there are any other challenges that inspire me to create a card!  I hope you are all enjoying your Easter Sunday.  Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift today
Hugs
Jaydee
