Bring on the Cake meets Medallion

Hi Everyone.  Happy Thursday.

Well, you know…. sometimes you have this great idea in your head and you spend time creating something and somehow what comes out isn't quite what was in your head.  Then you add a little something to see if that makes a difference, then a little something else.  Then maybe a rhinestone and… sadly, still it doesn't match the image you had of this great creation……

Tonight, I am revealing one of those cards.  It has potential.  I know it does… but somehow the potential eluded me.

This is how it started:

  Medallionbirthday
and then I added a little something else, and another rhinestone… and this is what I got:

     Medallionbirthday (2)

Nah… still not right!  On top of that, I couldnt get a decent pic of the updated version, either!

So, the question for you tonight… .anyone else have this problem?

Prayers tonight for Missy and the family of her friend.  For those of you who need a little lift or a warm hug.

Have a fabulous Friday everyone

Hugs

Jaydee

  1. Do I have this problem? Are you KIDDING me?!? It happens to me all. the. time. And it is so UTTERLY frustrating!! I feel your pain, I really do.
I love the colors on this card. What do you think of using the same layout, but making it a 4.25″X5.5″ horizontal, which would eliminate some of that space at the top? Then, you could off-set the Medallion a little more off the top as well as the side and bump down the sentiment a bit…
Of course, I’m not an expert or anything. Just a thought. :oS
Continued prayers for Missy and her friend’s family.
    Hugs!

  2. I think the layout is great and the stamps good well together but it needs color contrast. At least that is what I’d like to see but maybe not what you are aiming for.

  3. All the time Jaydee! I like the bling and the colors!
Thank you Rach for your prayers! I truly appreciate it!
    Prayer to all in need!

  4. Well I am with you Jaydee, I agree that it needs something, I am not sure what though! Really the card is not bad! But I know what you mean when you just cannot figure out that something special that makes it pop!
I just got the medallion stamp and am anxious to use it!

  5. It has potential, but you’re right that it’s missing something.
How do you color the rhinestones? 🙂
Prayers to all who need them.

  6. I really like your card too but agree that it is missing something. My first thought is to make the glossy center of your main stamp a different color…but then I changed my mind cuz I really like what you have sooooo….maybe some color some place else but where and what and or how…it eludes me!!!
PS….you don’t want to know how many unfinished cards I have…so much potential. We should start sending them to each other and see what some one else can do to them to revive them!
