Happy Wednesday.
I have a quick post for you today featuring one of the 10 or so cards I made using Stampin’ Up!s Earthen Textures stamp set and Earthen Elegance DSP.
Today’s card takes me back to the 7os. Remember all that brown and gold? Yep? Well, I channeled my inner 70s and used my favorite palm leaf agan 🙂
I stamped the earthen vessel and die-cut the palm leaf. I then heat set some gold embossing powder on the palm leaf and adhered it to the back of the vessel. The DSP was cut straight from the Earthen Elegance DSP. I stamped and hand-cut the sentiment and adhered it to the base along with the palm leaf and vessel. Really easy. Really simple and you could do it in any color combo.
Here’s my full card:

All we are missing is shag carpet, flock wallpaper and John Travolta’s white suit 🙂 Jokes aside, I do think there is a lovely retro feel to the Earthen Elegance DSP and I wanted to embrace that.
I’ll be back tomorrow with another card – day 5 of Earthen Textures 🙂 In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee
