Hi Everyone.
Happy World Card Making Day! I hope you got to spend some time crafting – I did… and I needed to as I had to make cards to celebrate our anniversary coming up on Wednesday. I used two CasualFridays sets for my card: Love Notes, Heart Bet and the and Big Treble die.
I found some great inspiration across at Casual Fridays and Freshly Made:
I had to manipulate the arrangement and sizes a little to get the three elements in. I started by inking up the notes stamp from Love Notes and I used a grey ink for that. I made them slightly different lengths so that the bottom one was shorter than the top one. I then die-cut a rectangle with my stitched dies and added a sentiment. I die-cut one of my favorite dies – the treble clef from Big Treble. I die-cut it from some Schoolhouse Red card stock from SimonSaysStamp.
I popped the panel up using fun foam and decided that I wasn't going to do anything else to it. Mind you, I did have to cut the "happy anniversary" stamp in half so that I could put it across two lines. I remember how nervous I was the first time I did surgery to a stamp… over the years I have realized, that I can put them back together again pretty easily when I need to 🙂
Here's my card:
I'm off back to my crafting space to give a little more love to some of my inks and paper. I'll be back tomorrow with my Paper Players card – and some photos. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight. In the meantime, I have to ban Lou from reading my blog so that he doesn't see this card 🙂
Hugs
Jaydee
