Happy Monday.
I hope you are all staying warm! I had such fun creating today's card. It was inspired by the chalkboard across at Fusion Card Challenge. I decided to play with the inspiration photo for today's card.
I hadn't realized how many coffee themed stamp sets I had until I pulled them out to create my version of a coffee chalk board. I used stamps from Ellen Hutson, Altenew, Casual Fridays and The Greetery.
I began with a medium grey base card stock from Simon Says Stamp and then used multiple greetings and white pigment ink. I didn't want to heat emboss the pigment ink, so I left it to dry for a while before completing my card.
Here's the outside of my card:
I just love some of these sayings… well, truthfully I love them all: I decided the card didn't need another outside sentiment, so I re-stamped the coffee cup from the right hand corner on the inside of the card and added my sentiment there. This card is for a friend who is very much part of the coffee culture and I know she will enjoy these sentiments. Also, as it is basically one layer, it will be easy – and cheaper – to get through the post!

I felt a pink cup would go with the grey and white from the front of the card. I'll be back tomorrow with another card. Before I go I thought I would share this photo with you. Recently our bedroom was visited by the Hairy Woodpecker early one morning. The cats were not in the least bit happy with his presence!
And, because I have seen a lot of penguin cards in the design team submission galleries, I thought I would share another photo of some real ones that I took on our recent trip to Antarctica. These two gentoos didn't know what to make of all of these "things in orange jackets" that were waiting for them on land!
It's still hard to believe it was warmer in Antarctica that it has been here the last few weeks! Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Oh Jaydee!!! You have such wonderful stamps and dies. The card is soooooo cute and I am sure your friend will come for a cup of coffee and you will have the opportunity to chat . . . distance between you!!!!!!!!
