Congrats, You Did It

Hi Everyone.  Happy Monday night.

A very quick post for you tonight, so that I can ensure that my post catches feedburner!

tonight's card uses Elegant Soiree and the Elegant Lines Designer Series Paper – a marriage made in heaven… oh… which is ALMOST the topic of the card !  Actually, it's an engagement card for Lou's hairdresser.  She has just become engaged and is so excited.  Who can blame her?

I used the fabulous sketch from getsketchy – here it is – it's a  GS#48 really flexible sketch – as you will see when you visit the site and check out the inspiration and submission cards:-)

Here's what I came up with…. I know, Rach…. it's Baja Breeze AGAIN!!!!!

Congrats

I love the fact that the Elegant Lines embossing folder echoes the DSP so perfectly.  I also LOVE this color combination and the Very Vanilla satin ribbon just seems to be so perfect for an engagement card.  AND…. I am LOVING the new configuration for the buttons from SU!

I stamped the sentiment in versamark and then embossed using white embossing powder.   I do hope she likes it!

Then, I want to leave you with a picture from our new deck….. oh… yes… we got to sit out last night, have a quick cup of tea out there in the middle of the morning – and sat out and had dinner tonight.  Here's what we saw a couple of nights ago……. and to think that only 12 people have ever walked on the moon.   I just think that must have been the most amazing, amazing, experience – it brings tears to my eyes just thinking about what that must feel like!

Moon

Life sure is beautiful.  Cherie, it's so good to have you back – I hope you had a wonderful, and very well deserved, vacation!

Prayers tonight for Trish – as always, we think of you even more as you get close to Wednesday; for Germaine; for T and Pri and for Arthur.   And tonight, we add John to our prayers – Sue… my thoughts and prayers go out to the both of you and we hope for a full and speedy recovery after John's stroke.

As always, thank you so much for visiting my blog.  Your visits and your support are much appreciated.  Your comments are what keep me going every might and remind me that you are out there reading what I write – or at least looking at the pictures :-)

Hugs to you all

Jaydee

  1. LOL! I’m telling you, the more I see it, the more I’m lovin’ the Baja Breeze. ;o) Thanks for that. :o)
This is a wonderfully elegant card. Don’t you just love PTI’s “Signature” line? :o) I mean, I adore SU! products, but those sentiments are wonderful.

What a view! I bet it gets below 75 at night at your place and you can sit on the deck and enjoy the coolness of the night, even after a really hot day. :wistful sigh:

  2. I love how you used the embossing folder for 1/2 and the DSP for 1/2…beautiful. I have recently tried a sketch challenge and I really liked it and will probably try more. The picture from your deck is stunning…glad you are enjoying.

  3. This card is wonderful. I am so glad you have introduced me to this DSP. I can hardly wait until my order arrives.
The view from your deck is beautiful. I am so envious. To think that it is cool enough to sit on. Can’t complain our summer is cool. Feels like we are living in San Diego with warm summer days and cool breezes at night. Been so busy with the renovation that we haven’t taken advantage of our deck.

  4. Beautiful card! So unique and just gorgeous. Yes, I LOVE Baja….so glad it’s back. It just makes a pretty card – for any event.
    Wonderful moon shot! So pretty.

  5. I am so glad you are using this embossing impression folder. Both the embossed image and the dsp go together so elegantly. Gotta love it from SU, you know! Love the baja breeze color and I am so glad it is back.
