Cozy Cup for Paper Players #542

Happy Sunday.

It's my turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's sketch week.  Here's my sketch:

When I looked at the sketch as I was getting ready to make a card, it reminded me of the die-cut that comes with the Cozy Cup set, so I decided to go with that inspiration!

I stamped and die-cut the cup and saucer and added two optional elements.  I added a piece of sweet DSP to the bottom of the card and added the sentiment.  I don't often reach for pink, but this card is for a friend who loves pink – and coffee!

Here's my card.

I hope you will join us and play along.  As always, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you

On a personal note:

I managed to sit quietly on the deck earlier this week and was rewarded for my patience with a visit from the female oriole.  She was a little hesitant at first, but decided she was more hungry than she was scared of me.

Female oriole (1 of 1)-2

I'm off to spend some time in my crafting room today and am looking forward to a few days off work starting the middle of next week.  Hopefully I will be able to get a few more photos to share with you.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift today.

Hugs

Jaydee

  1. What a fun coffee image, Jaydee! Of course, I love that you added all of that pretty pink, too. You got a wonderful shot of the female oriole. I don’t think they make it this far south. She sure is pretty! Thanks for a fun sketch this week, I really enjoyed this one. Hugs!

  2. Oh my gosh…this is such a sweet card, Jaydee! Pink is a perfect color to go with this image. The picture of the oriole is wonderful. Your patience certainly did pay off. Have fun stamping this week!

  3. The little tabletop scene is so sweet and it’s just the right amount of pink I’d say! The DSP matched the coffee pattern perfectly! Your friend will love it. Thanks for a fun sketch and have a great week!

  4. Love the pinks you used in your coffee card, Jaydee, especially since this is my favorite go-to sketch! Lucky you to see the oriole….I actually had one come to a hanging basket yesterday! They NEVER come that close to the house! It was a real treat! Plus we had an indigo bunting too! A super birding day!

  5. The pink is so pretty Jaydee – a great take on a great sketch this week! I love the upturned sentiment too – it adds a really creative touch to your card. Great bird shot too – you are so fortunate to get such awesome feathered visitors!

  6. Such a beautiful card Jaydee! I love the femininity of it and I really enjoyed the sketch. What a wonderful photo you took of the Oriole. I’m delighted that there are so many of us crafters that also enjoy watching the birds 🙂 Vicky x

  7. This is a very clever cup of coffee, Jaydee. Love the colors you chose and the patterned paper sets it off beautifully. This is such a pretty card. Thank you for a great sketch this week.
