Designer Typeset hoppy

Hi Everyone.  Happy Tuesday.

I  had such fun creating this card and I created it just for the fun of it 🙂

I knew that I would be wanting to make cards for another OWH card drive and had this image in my mind using this set that I bought ages ago.   It just didn't have the right sentiment though, so I hadn't used it.  However, the new photopolymer set from SU called Designer Typeset gave me the opportunity that I was looking for.  I knew that I would be able to use those teeny tiny stamps to create the sentiment I needed.  I also knew that it wouldn't be perfectly aligned, which was just what I was looking for on this card.

Isn't he fun? I really think the sentiment typeface is perfect as it adds a little fun.  Of course, I had to pull out my Crystal effects and add some to his feet and eyes.   I used a marker to add a little bit of color to his feet and legs and also around his mouth.   To add interest on the little fly, I added gel roller to his wings.  I did the same thing on the lily pad.    I adhered the lily pad directly to the card base, but popped the frog up with some dimensionals.  I hope that this will brighten the day of some little boy.

On a personal note:

4 inches of snow yesterday.   That brings our total for April to around 19".  In April!   Luckily, the weather man has advised us that warm weather is on its way.  Oh yeah!  One of these days we are going to be able to start thinking of  the controlled burn that the landscaping team are going to do and then the planting of all of those fabulous native bushes, grasses and flowers.  I really can't wait to get the woodland restored to make it even more habitable for the fauna that share our little neck of the woods.

Tonight…. we SU demos get to order some new goodies.   Now, Iam going to be very good about placing a small order and then waiting to put in a bigger order when the new catalog ordering goes live in June.  I LOVE the new catalog.  It's the most excited I've been about a catty and ended up with a list of things that I wanted that spanned almost two columns of my 8 1/2" x 11" notebook.  I think you will all find lots of things that you will enjoy, too.   I look forward to sharing some of those things with you next week.

I have no card to share with you tomorrow, so I will be back on Thursday.  Hopefully I will have been able to get into my stamp room by then!   I will also announce the winner of my blog candy from this post

As always, thank you for visiting my little area of the stamping blogosphere.   Warm hugs and prayers to all of you who need a lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee

You already knwo I am new in this world of cards . . . would you please tell me . . . do you paint all your cards? . . . what do you do with all the cards you prepare?
I still do not have many things, but I think I can manage to do a few cards . . . do you think you could send me a very easy model to sell at a fund raising for Catholic Relief?
