Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday.
It's the fabulous Laurie's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has a very timely challenge for us:
On a personal note:
Well, we have been back for a week and I think my mind has still been on island time this week. I've been late for every single meeting – well… not all of them… but certainly a few of them. and… I am NEVER late for meetings. Ever! I remember I worke for a General Manager who never kept his staff waiting – even little underlings like me. If he was going to be running even a minute later – he would get his secretary to call and apologize. He set such an amazing example of respect, that I took his cue and have made it a point to never be late and, on the rare occasions that I am, I make sure the person running the meeting knows about it before the start time of the meeting. So…. two things are happening… either my mind is still on Island time – or maybe – I just don't care as much anymore :-)
The one great thing about being in the Caribbean was seeing all the GREEN. This was the view from our deck at home yesterday
Brown. Brown. and a whole lot more BROWN. By the time we get to this point in the year I am desperate to see green – we certainly did see that last week! Oh… and multiple shades of blues and oranges and pinks and yellows…. heck a wonderful profusion of glorious color.
Looking out of our cabin deck the first morning – the seas were incredibly calm and all different shades of blue:
And this guy was silently going past us – I think it's a clipper – but am very open to correction from someone who knows sailing vessels :-):
Looking at the photos make me feel relaxed – and warm :-)
I'll be back with another card tomorrow – and some more photos. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee
Card recipe:
- Stamps: Some Bunny – Simon Says Stamp

Love the island pictures. The view from your deck not so much, but it will be beautiful soon with lush greens and beautiful flowers and alive with wildlife. I always love your pictures. Your card is very cute and brings a smile. It’s difficult to come back to reality post-vacation, but it will happen for you. Take care.
I just love the egg card!! The colors are great and the sentiment goes so well with your eggs. Sorry about work. I’m retired now and I KNOW how hard it is at the last especially if management is making it hard for you. Finish up strong if you can and you’ll always be able to remember that you’ve done your very best. It doesn’t take the sting out of leaving but it does make you feel better about yourself. Something greater is out there waiting for you to finish and to get ready for it. Wishing you the very best!! Remember the JOY die you sent me – may your days be filled with JOY!!
What a delightful card, Jaydee! Love the colors and whole a lot of teals. Hope to see greens too, spring is in the air, give it a little time 🙂
I love all your beautiful eggs! The watercoloring is gorgeous! The color combo is so pretty!
Now, on to the beach pictures—-oh, how fabulous! I have not been to a beach in years, but I am going very soon. So happy you were able to get away and enjoy that lovely location! XXX
Love those pretty eggs Jaydee – beautiful! I miss those Caribbean seas, I’ve spent many a happy hour diving those! The fact you’re still on island time means your holiday must have been the break you needed.
Jaydee this is so, so pretty. I love the colors and how you watercolored them. I have these markers too but don’t really know what to do with them, perhaps I should watch a few videos! So glad you had a nice time on your cruise, you really needed some time off.
I am in LOVE with your card Jaydee, I just love everything about it!! Looking out my window I see brown grass and a billion houses 😀
