Feather Pen for Freshly Made Sketches 680

Happy Friday.

I finally had some time to play along with some challenges this week and today's card is for Freshly Made Sketches #680.  Narelle's sketch called for something nice and clean and when I saw the layout, I immediately thought of the Feather Pen set from Waffle Flower.  I decided to pair it with a gorgeous sentment set I am absolutely in love with called Scripted Sentiments from The Greetery.

Here's a sneak peek:

Oh…. it's pink :-)   I'm beginning to think I might need an intervention.  I seem to have made a lot of cards with pink it them recently!

Here's Narelle's sketch:

I began by die-cutting the feather pen and then coloring it with the matching stencil.  I added the quill nib that was die-cut from metallic silver card stock and added some splatters to the feather.   I then added a pink shadow for behind the quill and added some metallic splatters using rose gold, silver and antique cold metallic watercolor paints.  These metallic watercolors were sent to me courtesy of my bestie Pammie.  They were part of my birthday present!

I added two of the sentiments from the Scripted Sentiments set from The Greetery.  The large sentiment was stamped in black and the small sentiment was stamped in the same color as the feather.  I popped the feather up with a strip of foam tape and my card was complete.

Here's my card:

I'll be back tomorrow with my Addicted to CAS card.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee
