Floral Friendship for Paper Players 736

Happy Saturday.

It's the fabulous Ann's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's color week.  Once again I am using the Floral Friendship set from Gina K that I bought with my gift certificate from a challenge I won at Time Out.  I just love this set.  For tonight's card I paired it with a stencil I made from the Outline Heart die from Waffle Flower.

Here's a sneak peek:

I must admit when I first saw these colors I wasn't sure of them but, when I pulled out my Copic Markers to match the colors I fell in love with their soft hues all with a blue base.  Love them – thank you, Ann!!!

I began with the flower.  I stamped, diecut and colored the image.  Next I focused on the base.  I took my Outline Heart die and ran it through my machine to create a stencil.  I softly blended the pinks around the white outlines.  I always like to anchor a focal element to stop it feeling as though it is floating and the soft hearts seemed perfect with the sentiment.

I then used the same colors to create some soft splattering for the background.  I popped u the flowers with foam dots and added the sentiment and my card was complete.

Here's the full card:

I hope you will join us and play along with Ann's fabulous colors.  We would love to see what you create.  As always the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:

I'll be back later in the week with another card.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee

  1. Jaydee, you create the most beautiful cards. This image in these colors is ethereal. I really think I might need this set. The stenciled backgrounds you make are always amazing. I am so glad you ended up liking this color combination. Thank you for making my challenge look amazing. Have a wonderful week!

  2. So stylish and lovely! Gorgeous stamp, wonderful colours and that background stencilling and splattering steps things up to a whole new level. 🙂
