Happy Friday!
It's time for another challenge at Festive Friday
I was so excited when I saw what we were celebrating this week!
my choices: cat, orange, heart and texture
I mean…. how could I not enjoy making a card to celebrate our fur babies! Our cats are all indoor cats. They do have access to our screened in porch so can watch and chase all sorts of visiting critters and they can do that all from the safety of an enclosed space. However, they also love sitting in the window and looking out, especially when the windows are open. So, I decided to use that as the inspiration for my card.
I used the brick stamp from the Fresh Air set from the Greetery for both the orange and texture element. For the cat, I used an old SU set with matching die. I had such fun creating this little scene. For those of you who have been here before….. recognize those hearts in the window? Yep, it's my favorite stencil from The Greetery – Knit Wits! Here's my card:
I hope you will play along with us this week. We would love to see what YOU create with our inspiration board. The fabulously talented design team have some awesome kitty inspiration for you. I hope you will pop along to their blogs and check out their creations.

On a personal note:
Well, after 20 months of being at home, Lou and I finally managed to get away for a quick trip. We love the view from our home, but it was wonderful to have a change of scenery and just get away. In the week that we were gone, the leaves have turned on thee trees and strong winds have cleared many of the trees. This morning it was 45 degrees and we realized that summer had turned to Autumn in that week! We also missed the Aurora Borealis sightings. Still on my life list, so sorry that we missed the opportunity this week. If any of you were lucky enough to catch a glimpse, I'd love to hear about it!
I'll be back on Sunday with my Paper Players card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a litttle lift today.
Hugs
Jaydee

Such a sweet card, Jaydee! The details are perfect, the hearts in the window and I’ve never seen such a realistic curtain. The cat is so cute too! Awesome!
I thought you’d like this challenge Jaydee – and no shortage of inspiration from your furry feline friends! Love the creative way you used your stamps on today’s card; beautiful layered details, even though your card still feels CAS. And that cat totally looks like he’s got the cream lol! Glad you and Lou enjoyed a well-deserved break this week, winter is coming too fast!
Love your card!
This is such a great card. I love it
Oh my gosh…this is fabulous, Jaydee! I LOVE the curtain fluttering from the window. The cat on the windowsill is “purr-fect”! Have a wonderful weekend!
Oh my goodness, Jaydee! I love everything about this card. That wonderful perch for kitty is so well designed, but the curtain is the BEST! I love the expression on Kitty’s face. Just fabulous all around.
Good for you Jaydee (and Lou)!!! A change is always a change . . . the only place I go is the garden . . . actually a park inside the appartment building where I leave and that I take care of . . .it is my paradise on earth!!! We found six kittens in the garden and we are taking care of them . . . veterinary visits, food, water, etc. Autumn is here!!!
Happy you got to travel; know how you love it. Your kitty in the window card made me smile and chuckle. Thank you!
Jeanne, I am so glad kitty made you smile. Doesn’t he just look so pleased with himself 🙂
