Hi Everyone. Happy Wednesday.
CASology has a great theme challenge this week.
Now, there are many ways you can take this theme, but I was compelled to the crisp cool mornings and evenings of fall and the crispy sound of the fallen leaves. So, I went with a fall themed card.
I used a Simon Says Stamp called "Giving Thanks" and inked up the tree and leaves with Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, Pear Pizazz and Pumpkin Pie based on the colors of the boulevard trees in our area. They are turning slowly to two different colors of orange and yet some parts of the tree are still green. I love the sentiment with the little blue popped up bird…. I colored him blue because he reminded me of our bluebirds! 🙂
Don't forget to pop along and see the fabulous design team and submission cards, there really are some great takes on the "crisp" theme!
On a personal note:
Kelly... you are so right, the colors this year are nowhere near as intense as they were last year. Lou and I were talking about the fact that P&J and R&R were here with us at this time last year and the trees were an incredible sight. This year, they are much more muted – and much later to turn!
Doris, so glad my bluebird photo provided you with the inspiration you needed to color yours!
Rach, our hummers are gone, too. They hung around for quite a while, but they have definitely gone. The last red-shouldered blackbirds are hanging around for a little while longer, along with the blue birds. Otherwise, we are pretty much back to our all-year round birds. The neighborhood is certainly much quieter without Niles and Daphne!
Colleen, we are hoping the bluebirds do use the box next year. We have put up two for them! As the houses are being built on the open lots across the road, we are not sure what the bluebirds will do next year as that was "their" space.
As always, thank you for your visit and your comments. They really are much appreciated. Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
I'll be back on Friday with – hopefully – another card.
Hugs
Jaydee

Great card – love the warm colours and the pop of blue! Thanks for joining us at CASology this week!
There’s your little bluebird! What a fun and autumn-y card! :o) I like the woodgrain texture for the focal image and of course, the sequins are too fun. :o)
Fall has been brighter here this year. Typically it’s muted and dull. I’ve been surprised by the intensity of some of the colors that have been popping up.
I have a sick little Bean to tend to, so I’m off. Have a WONDERFUL day!
Hugs!
P.S. Hi Lou!
Sorry, just a tad late in getting my comment posted. Just not enough hours in a day at times.
Enjoyed seeing your cute and lovely card Jaydee. A card that would brighten / cheer up anyone’s day
Wishing you a wonderful and fun weekend
