Greenhouse Garden – Full of Life – Happy Birthday

Hi Everyone

Happy Sunday.  Today's card is my MojoMonday 99 submission.  I used the new Stampin' Up! Greenhouse Garden stamp set.  This is such a pretty set.  I combined it with the Full of Life set.  I used the new Cottage Garden Designer Series Paper and pearls from the Pretties Kit.

To make the card:

Card stock:

Old Olive (A2)

Rich Razzleberry 4 x 5 1/8

Designer Series Paper

Cottage Wall 1 piece cut at 2 1/4  3 1/2 (polka dot) and one piece (patterned) cut at 2 1/14 and 2 7/8. I then cut a piece of the same DSP stripe 2 3/4 x 2 7/8.  I used a 1 inch circle punch
to cut out a half circle in the top of the stripe paper.

I used Old Olive card stock cut at 1 1/4 x 3 7/8 and cut a V in the bottom

Sentiment:

I stamped the sentiment from the Full of Life (111500) set in Rich Razzleberry on a piece of Whisper White card stock 2 3/8 x 2.  I popped up the matt and the sentiment with Stampin' Dimensionals

Flowers:

I stamped the larger flower from the Garden Greenhouse in Orchid Opulence and then
stamped the inner part in Rich Razzleberry.
The two smaller flowers were stamped in Perfect Plum and the centers in Rich Razzlberry.  To finish off the flowers, I added half pearls from the Pretties Kit. I love the dimensionality of the flowers in the Greenhouse Garden set and can't wait to try them with different colors.

Ribbon:

I used a small a piece of Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot (to echo the polka dots from the DSP
and the circles from the half pearls) and I adhered this to the back of the Old Olive with snail.

I loved the Cottage Wall Paper and thought that the Greenhouse Garden flowers (one of my brand new sets) worked perfectly well with the paper.  The MM99 sketch is so flexible, that I have a yearning to make another card with it – if my neck holds out long enough to be able to make another sketch.

To add texture to the background, I used the Rich Razzleberry textured card stock against the Old Olive.  Overall, I was really pleased with the card, and think that the Greenhouse Garden is going to become a favorite.

I love the two step stamping sets and this particular set gives such clean, crisp images. (113824).

On a personal note… still not able to do much with my neck and the pills make me really sleepy and very foggy.  BUT… i've been away from my stamping space too long and really needed to create something tonight!  Mind you, my best friend Pam's hubby was pruning bushes last week and oooooppps….. instead of pruning the bush, pruned the pad off his index finger and half the pad off the second finger.  One quick trip to the emergency room later…. (aaaargggh… the thought of it makes me weak at the knees).  Mind you, it's what they found afterwards that made me really weak at the knees!!!  The next morning, they retrieved the pruning shears from the garden where he had dropped them…. to find the pad of his finger still attached to the shears.  OK.  can anyone say gross!  Me…. I thought it was rather an extreme way to get out of washing dishes 🙂  Seriously, John…. get well soon and I have a pair of gardening gloves on the way for you 🙂

Have a fabulous Sunday and I hope it's filled with lots of time doing the things that make you happy – with those that you love.  And thank you for spending a little part of your day in my area of the stamping blogosphere.

Peace and hugs
Jaydee
