Hi Everyone.
Happy Friday night. OK… so.. can someone please do an intervention. I need a 12 step program to stop using Gray! Some of you may remember that I was asked to be a guest designer across on splitcoaststampers clean and simple challenge. Well, this week was my week!
It was a sketch challenged based on a clean and simple submission. I had to make a card using this sketch layout. I was uncharacteristically nervous about this. Seriously. I pfaffed and worried and pfaffed and worried, but in the end went with instinct about whether or not it was good enough to submit.
This was the card that we had to use as our inspiration and our sketch.
You all know that I tell you how difficult I find these three element cards to be! Don't ask me why… I really don't know. Here's a link to the challenge. I was so honored to be the guest designer for this week and thank Jen for making this possible – and for hosting the challenges every week.
In the end I decided to use Basic Gray, Whisper White and my Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set.

Lovely pearls-how do you attach them? What did you use for the sentiment? Enjoy your week end. Hope the weather is perfect for being outside. It is supposed to be in the 80’s here. Lovely for a garden tour and buying a washing machine! Hope yours is fun.
Honestly Jaydee, I don’t know why you fretted about this card and being Designer of the Week. Your work is always up to par and then some. I know that clean and simple are the hardest cards to make because we must stop ourselves at a certain point and we really would like to do more. I think you have done a fantastic job! The card is beautiful, and the pearls add that special touch. I really like the effect of the row of pierced holes, it looks much better than a line of dots. Your card is very sophisticated, and says just what it is meant to say. Wonderful job all the way around! You definitely win the prize in my book. Now you and Lou have a wonderful dinner, and some special time spent together. I really think that you have to put some string on that man’s legs to tie him down and keep him home for awhile. Lol. Have a great weekend. Mine will be spent at Hospital, so no fun on this end. Boo-hoo. Better days are ahead.
