Hi Everyone. Welcome to Jaydee's stampin' space. As my regular visitors will know, I'm currently travelling with my DH for our anniversary. We've spent so much time apart this year, that it's fantastic to get to spend some time together. However, I am having withdrawl symptoms from my stamping space.
No card for you today – I wanted to share some pics with you. We are staying at a winery in the Western Cape called La Petite Ferme. We booked a lakeside cottage with views over the valley. It was a very long travel day getting here – 36 hours to be exact cramped into a little seat on a 777! We got to the winery at nearly midnight and were woken up at 6am by what was to become our alarm clock. The arrival of two Egyptian Geese – who are noisier than the Canadian Geese! Anyway, the trip was worth it for the view from our room, and I'm so pleased the Geese woke us up early.
this is just a portion of the view – I realized that my camera doesn't have a panorama feature!
This was taken on the morning of our anniversary and the chef at the Le Petite Ferme suggested we visit another winery for lunch – Delaire. Oh boy…. what an experience. Here's a portion of the view from our table. Please note that the glasses contain water… but that didn't last long! Who could visit a winery for lunch and not toast that view — oh, and our anniversary! 🙂
It was a glorious day with an absolutely glorious view. There was a slight breeze and the temperature was around 73 degrees. I swear I could never, ever get tired of that view.
The next morning, we were woken at 6.10 by Honky and Hoppy. Yes! I named the geese! 🙂 Honky because he was so noisy and hoppy because… well …. because he had a limp :-) the extra few minutes made a difference to the way the sun caught the mountains. Man…what a view to wake up to 🙂
It's been amazing few days and today we leave La Petite Ferme.
I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday – doing the things you love – with those you love the most. I'll be trying to load a new card for you tomorrow. As always – thank you for visiting my little area of the stamping blogosphere – your visits – and support – are always very much appreciated.
To my darling Pierluigi – thank you for a wonderful few days. Ti Amo.
Peace
Jaydee

Hey Jaydee,
This is absolutely beautiful! Happy Anniversary to you both. My hubby and I will be celebrating 20 years on Wed. We won’t be doing anything as fabulous as this though.
Thanks so much for my blog comment this morning. It was wonderful to hear/read such nice words after such a busy and tiring weekend.
Have a wonderful rest of your vacation and I look forward to your creations when you get back.
WOW! Is there any other place as beautiful as the Cape in Spring time. Thanks for sharing. Can’t wait to see what you do with MDS and the rest of your photos. Tot Siens
