Hi Everyone. Happy Tuesday night.
I have a quick post for you tonight – and it's a birthday card two ways!
It's my darling hubby's birthday tomorrow and I wanted to make a card for him using Gorgeoous Grunge and some of SU's washi tape. I made this version
I like it… I really love Gorgeous Grunge – I love the large sentiment – and I love the washi tape… but I thought.. you know, it just needs SOMETHING… and saw the challenge across at Cas-ual Fridays… add a button… oh, yes! that's exactly what it needed! Here's the version with a button!
Oh, yes…. sometimes… a button can make all the difference. Now, Lou will tell you that a button isn't masculine, but, I think it really does add to this card and doesn't detract from the masculine feel. What do you think? Which do you prefer? I'd love to hear your opinions. This is the version he will be receiving tomorrow. Don't you love the date on the bottom of the card? I love the new This and That Rotary Stamp… it's perfect for adding that little touch of personalization to a project.
I hope I have convinced you that Gorgeous Grunge is a great set by now… 🙂 and promise that I will make a couple of cards without using the set 🙂
I will be out tomorrow celebrating Lou's birthday, but will be back on Thursday with another card. In the meantime, thank you for visiting my little neck of the stamping blogosphere. Your visits and your comments are always greatly appreciated. Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

Great guy card, Jaydee! I prefer the one with the button. By the way, tell Lou when he gets dressed tomorrow morning that the buttons on his clothes aren’t masculine, LOL!
Hi Jaydee! I prefer the card with the button as well. It just brings it all together nicely. I also like the vertical lines this time. Happy Birthday to Lou!! Enjoy your day and celebration.
Hi Jaydee!
A very Happy Birthday for Lou . . . besides comments about buttons being masculine or not . . . you can read in between lines like . . . . from the “button” of my heart!! ho!ho!
Marina . . . from far Africa!
Happy birthday Lou. The button card is my favorite and I think it IS masculine.
Happy Birthday, Lou!! :o) Wishing you a day full of fun and love! :o)
I think that is a very masculine button–not fru fru or frilly at all. It does add that extra little pop the card needed. :o)
Hugs!
Happy Birthday Lou! I like the button version too, hope Lou does too! Enjoy your time together!
Happy Birthday, Lou! You can now fasten your shirts with Washi Tape, but remember that it doesn’t hold as well as those “feminine” buttons do! Have a great celebration…Nancy B
Happy Birthday Lou! I hope the two of you have a wonderful day celebrating!
Hugs!

A BIGGGGGG HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Lou. Hope he has a wonderful day. Marge
Yep, you’ve convinced me, that grunge set is FAB! LOVE the way you’ve used it on your card. It really conveys the “celebration” feeling in your sentiment. The button is a great finishing touch too. Thanks so much for joining the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge!
(Thursday morning)
Hope you have a Very Enjoyable Day Lou.
So hot here in Texas(107 deg. Wed.) that you have to wear oven mitts so you don’t burn your hands on the steering wheel. :}
Cool front coming in for weekend; may get down to 100 deg then. Was 109 deg. Tuesday in Dallas.

I’m late to the party, but want to wish you a happy belated Birthday, too 🙂
Gorgeous card! Love the button.. yes, it adds so much to it and it’s just the perfect finishing touch for this card (IMHO)
