Happy Monday.
I have a quick post for you today featuring yet another set of dies that was included in my Jennifer McGuire crafty box. I've showcased multiple sets that I received in the box, and there are a lot more to come!
Today's card was made for the CAS Colors and Sketches challenge #564 and features the Hardy Fuchsia Bud dies from Memory Box. Oh, I had fun playing with blending brushes, ink and glue for this card!
Here's a sneak peek:
Oh, and here is Joanne's challenge sketch:
Because of the elements I was using, I needed to turn the card on the vertical instead of the horizontal. To create my card I began by die-cutting and color blending the individual pieces. I then had to glue them all together! I needed something to ground them so used a stencil I got from a card kit that I received for a donation to Creative Kindness. I thought the trellis like feel of the stencil was perfect as a backdrop for the fuchsia buds.
I adhered the leaves and the flowers to the card base but left the stamens hanging free. Oh, I love fuchsia. When I lived in a milder climate they were one of my favorite flowers to cultivate.
Here's my full card:
I know the team across at CAS Colors and Sketches would love you to play along. The design team and submission cards have some fabulous inspiration for you.
I'll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee
