Hi Everyone.
It's my turn to host the Paper Players challenge this week and I have a Tic Tac Toe challenge for you. I always love the TTT challenges as they create an amazing variety of cards in the gallery and, if you are looking for some inspiration – just check out the fabulous cards from our design team.
Here's the challenge:
I decided to go straight across the middle – die cuts, girly and pink!
I began by die-cutting a heart shape with masking paper and masked out an area on my Tim Holtz Heart stencil. I think used three shades of pinks from the TH Distress Inks to add the stenciled hearts in the heart cut out.
Once the heart shape was completed, I die-cut the focal layer with my Stitched Rectangles Die and was ready to stamp the sentiment and I had the perfect one in the February Simon Says Stamp card kit. I love this sentiment – it's perfect for hello, birthday, thinking of you, just because, and even a Valentine for a girl-friend.
Here's my card:
Isn't that sentiment fabulous? I really do love it and will be making several cards for charity using this sentiment.
If you are looking for some amazing inspiration – check out the design team cards:
On a personal note:
Have you ever had one of those weeks where you wonder if your brain has gone on vacation without telling you? It certainly has been like that for me the past few days. I saw a "funny" on Splitcoaststampers that works for exactly how I have felt these last three days.
"I should put an Out of Order sticker on my forehead and just call it quits!"
Yep. that fits. I made a card for the Paper Players challenge – got it loaded and sat back this morning waiting for the challenge to go live on the site. Mmm…. I kept checking and nothing had gone live, so I decided to check my email to see if one of my esteemed design team members had sent an email telling us why they were late with the post. Ahem! imagine my consternation when I discovered I had made a card for the wrong week and the reason that the post wasn't live was because it was my challenge and I hadn't done the post! So, I had to rush to get the post up and then rush down to my craft room to make a card for my challenge…… Well, I suppose on the plus side – I am a week ahead for next week's challenge!
I'll leave you with a couple of photos. I just love these guys… they are such incredible characters
How about another one of my favorite winter birds:
I'll be back tomorrow with another card – unless I have another "out of order" moment! In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you that need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee
