Hello from the Heart for Retrosketches

Hi Everyone.  Happy Tuesday.

I hope you are all having a great week so far.  This will be a very quick post as it is 9pm and Lou and I have only just arrived home.   Considering we left home at 6am this morning, you can guess that we were up at the house sorting all sorts of things out.  I just managed to feed the cats and need to go cook something for us both to eat.

However, I did want to share my clean and simple take on the retrosketches challenges this week. It's a fabulous sketch and I had all sorts of ideas for it, but in the end settled on a colored flower – perfect for the sentiment, I think.

Here's the sketch

And here's my take on it… Now.. the funny thing with this is….. the flower is actually the same color as the background IRL.  Mmm… when it's photographed it shows much more yellow than it really is!

For the card I used Amuse Studio's Floral Duets, but for you SU only gals, 5th Avenue Floral would work just as well.   The background stamp is Polka Dot Patterns (also Amuse) and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Vintage Picnic Sentiments.   The card stock is SU Peach Parfait (sad that I'm starting to love this and it will be retiring soon!) and Very Vanilla.
