Hello Gourdgeous for Addicted to CAS #122

 Hi Everyone.  Happy Saturday.

It's the fabulous Bobby's turn to host our challenge this week and she has a great code word for us:

The design team have created some fabulous cards as inspiration for you, including our very talented guest designer – Kathy.

I hope you will join us and play along this week and our amazing sponsor – Create a Smile  has another generous prize for the winner.

Luckily, my Hero Arts September card kit had arrived and contained some pumpkins, so I had a set that I could use for my card.  This is another card going to the Cards for Hospitalized Kids/Card Care Connection and I thought the sentiment that came with the kit was really fun.

I stamped my pumpkins and die cut them.  I arranged them and then added a little glimmer from my gel pen.  A little glitter seems to help everything 🙂

I love how cleanly the dies cut around the pumpkin and elements.  I put the focal element onto a textured card base and the sentiment was heat set with gold embossing powder.

I adhered the big pumpkin directly to the focal layer, but popped up the smaller pumpkin with foam dots.  I did the same with the leaf.

I'll be back tomorrow with my Paper Players card.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee

  1. Your pumpkins are gorgeous, Jaydee! I love how you added dimension with your coloring and texture with your gel pen! Great idea to use textured cardstock for your card base, too…Such a lovely autumn card!

  2. Prettiest pumpkins I have seen thus far.
Simple but yet a very lovely Fall card and cute sentiment to go along with.
