Hi Everyone. Happy Monday. Hope you all had a great weekend and a good start to your week.

I have a quick post for you tonight.  This is one of the cards that I made this weekend.  I popped into casestudychallenges and there was a terrific card by the very talented Julie Ebersole as the inspiration for this week.   You can check out Julie's inspiration card here

I was very inspired by the bright colored flowers, the white and the kraft base.  I decided the incorporate those elements into my card.

I stamped the flowers with versamark and heat set white embossing powder.  I then went in with three different color copic markers to create the gradient coloring from the outside to the inside on the flowers.  I then cut them out and popped them onto the stamped leaf using Stampin' Dimensionals.  I inked the leaf in Lucky Limeade and embossed the sentiment.  All that was left to do was to add some Basic Pearls into the middle of the flowers and round the corners of the focal point layer.  I then adhered that to the card base using dimensionals.

I think you can see the inspiration from the original card.  Those flowers really were the starting point for my card.  You really should pop along and check out all the fabulous design team and submission cards.

On a personal note:

No sightings of Archimedes or our feline visitor.  Sigh.  We are hoping they both come back.  I think Archi (as he has been nicknamed) wouldn't understand how empty the woodland feels without him!  We grew so accustomed to  his presence.  However, he does have a range of around 200 acres, so the fact that we saw him at all was amazing.

Now, I'm off to cook supper.  Garbanzo and vegetable Pot Pie!  It's delicious.

As always, thank you for visiting my little area of the stamping blogosphere.  Your visits and your comments really do mean a great deal to me.

Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee
