Hi Everyone. Happy Saturday.
It's the fabulous Sandy's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has a color challenge for us:
On a personal note:
It's official…… autumn/fall is in full swing and we have experienced our first below freezing temperatures for a couple of months. While that is an exaggeration, it certainly feels as though it is only a couple of months ago :-) We know that the Junco's are the next thing to arrive to confirm my hypothesis of the arrival of late fall 🙂
I was out and about in the garden and caught this shot… I cannot remember what type of plant this is, but I am absolutely obsessed with the amazing colors and veining:
Isn't that amazing? I think it is… the blue-green veins, the red stems and the pale and darker green leaf parts. Just stunning.
I thought you might want to see a photo of what has been visiting our bird feeder:
I NEVER get tired – ever get tired – of watching – and listening to the Pileated Woodpecker. They are truly amazing- and so pre-historic. They are truly amazing.
I will be back with another card on Tuesday. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight
Hugs
Jaydee

Perfect colors for florals..great idea!I really like the texture with that embossing paste too….adds so much to a card.
Have a great week!
BEAUTIFUL florals….what gorgeous texture you created! But you know me…the birds steal the show. I am insanely jealous of that pileated! You are so blessed!
Love these colors in florals, Jaydee, and your layout is fabulous. Love how the sentiment is tucked between the two flowers. Gorgeous!
Your flowers are beautiful! And I love that embossing paste in the background!
Oh, I like the textured back ground. I don’t make Halloween card so seeing your flowered card made me smile. Honestly; I’m tired of seeing Halloween cards.
What a pretty variegated plant. Love the color along with such delegate stems. Was wondering; does it bloom, does it get berries, is it a ground cover, height, width when full grown? etc. Would love to know what kind of plant it is.
Email or take photo of this beautiful plant to your local nursery where you got your plants from and I bet they will be able to tell you what it is. If you find out; Please, Do tell. I love plants with variegated leaves.
Great shot of Mr. Woody. He’s so enjoying his meal and looks like another bird has come in for a landing. :}
Have a great week and enjoy your day.
Hi Jaydee! It seems like the summer was waaaaaaay too short and I don’t recall seeing any photos of any of the cranes. Did they visit this year? If so, was it Niles and Daphne?
Jaydee this is absolutely fabulous. I love that you used the colors for a floral, and your background is amazing. Who makes the brick stencil? Thanks 🙂
Great card today using the challenge colors. I love that you decided to go with floral and not Halloween theme. It’s beautiful. Love the pictures of your bird and that gorgeous plant with the red stems. The plant is perfect inspiration for my adult coloring class. TFS
Gorgeous card Jaydee – your florals are stunning and I love the embossing paste background and the bold black typeset sentiment. Great woodpecker photo too!
WOW! Jaydee, this is one gorgeous card! The texture really does add so much to the visual effect, doesn’t it. Really Gorgeous!
Jaydee this is stunning! I love embossing paste! The background you created is perfect! I always forget about using it!
The florals in the color palette are gorgeous! You are so creative!
I too, adore the Pileated Woodpecker! I think they are so pretty!
Thank you for always sharing your piece of heaven on Earth!
